I've been WWing for a year and have lost very nearly 4 stone
I've got another 1.5 stone to go . . .
I've just transferred from the Points Plan to the Core Plan - this is where you have a whole list and range of foods that are 'free' and a minimum of 21 points to spend the rest of the week. You can gain extra points by exercise -I walk the dog for a min of 1 hr a day, which gives me another 3 points, together with aquaerobics and a swim once a week, so I have at least 6 points a day on 'treats'.
This is my personal opinion, but I'm glad I did the points plan first because it has given me a really good idea of what portion sizes should be like, it also clues you up on points values (ie avg glass of wine 1.5 points, Curly Wurly 2.5 points - you can tell what I like to use my treats on
).
My 'average' day would mean eating something like this:
Breakfast - bowl of Oatso Simple, Shredded Wheat or Weetabix; (skimmed milk) with half a spoon of sugar on top
; cup of tea
Mid morning with coffee at work - banana (if I'm at home I make myself a yummy cappuccino - all skimmed milk is free)
Lunch - either: a bowl of soup; a jacket potato with low fat soft cheese; ryvita with soft cheese or WW cheesespreads; tin of spaghetti (sorry, just love this stuff and it's so easy to whack in the microwave at work); with any fruit I fancy, a fromage frais and no sugar squash
Mid afternoon -
cup of tea
When I get home from work and then walking the dog - another
and a Pink & White Wafer (like a mallow ice cream sandwich type thingies) or another nana.
Dinner: so much to choose from, seriously! A couple of times a week I have salad - but this consists of lovely cold meats (on the core plan this is all free), small amount of cheese, new potatoes, salad cream and all the salad greens, cucumer, tomatoes, beetroot etc. I use a lot of chicken - stir fries, mini roasts with a chicken breast wrapped in rasher of bacon; chinese chicken, spag bog, home made burgers (you have to 'point' bread),
Tonight I'm having garlic/herby chicken - (chicken breast in a lemon, herb and garlic marinade), with roasted veggies and mini roasted new potatoes.
I eat loads - always feel full.
When I've settled down in the evening, around 9-9.30, I have my real treat
WeightWatchers do a range of real chocolate sweet bars and I have one of these (they were my salvation when I first started!).
It probably all sounds rather boring if you don't have to diet, but - well, I guess my results show it can be done.
I still 'see' myself as 4 stone heavier. I met a friend I've not seen for over a year last week - she walked passed me in the car park
Hilarious.
Then only last night we put on the videos of previous Florida trips to get us in the mood for when we go next Friday - my DD nearly swallowed her tongue she was laughing so much. She could not get over what I looked like then and now (I just don't see the 'new' me
).
Good luck - give it a go, you've nothing to lose - or maybe you have
