First time nerves!

This time next week we should be four hours into our flight if everything goes according to plan! I'm starting to get quite nervous. I've spent so many months planning things, so much info in my head I think I've got Ashley's problem that everytime he learns something new it pushes an old bit out! I'm going armed with loads of notes and printed out cards about which ADR we've got and the confirmation codes on them, and then suddenly I think 'oh I can't remember this, that or the other!'. I've spent some of this morning packing a few things wondering what I'll forget, even though I'm working to a list. I've spent so many months excited things seem to be a bit flat now. Is this normal? For goodness sake I finish work tomorrow night till the 2nd November and I still can't believe its nearly here!

We fly out on Tuesday but I don't get nervous at all. I figure if we've forgot something, then we'll most likely get it out there !!

Some say I'm too laid back but sometimes it's the best way to be.
Are you going to join us at our meet at the Rose & Crown?

I start lists of things to do weeks, even months before my holiday and I go mad with my planning - but the minute the car pulls off my drive, and as long as I've got my tickets, passports and kids (I guess I can't forget them :rotfl2: ) then like Sue says, if I've forgot something, then I'll get it out there :thumbsup2

I hope you have a fab time, and I look forward to hearing all about it when you get home

Mandy :)

p.s. Sue, you have a fab time too :thumbsup2

You'll be fine Wendy. You've just hit that calm before the storm where it's all planned but just that bit to early for packing so there's not much to do. Don't worry about forgetting anything you can get it all over there and probably cheaper than you can here. Sit back and enjoy your hard work, you've earned it. :)

no the feeling
my DM even said the other day
we were more excited about the holiday a few months ago than now
the waiting is the hardest part
3 weeks yesterday until we go

Wendy honey, don't get nervous, you're going to have the most amazing holiday, don't get uptight and spoil it, If you forget something does it really matter? (as long as its not passport, tickets, money you'll be fine) relax a little and enjoy it. A lot of people get so organised they forget to stop, breathe in and just enjoy the most magical place on earth.
Its going to be just fabulous, I promise!

Have fun! Remember it's a HOLIDAY and it really doesn't matter if you don't do everything on your schedule - just relax as Carol said all you need are your passports, tickets and money!

Thankyou friends. Its not so much the 'things' I'm worried about forgetting (I've checked things are in the bags countless times!) its more the things I've read about and forgotten (does that make sense!) I had to look up where to go and buy the refillable mugs, I'm worried about making sure we're at the airport in plenty of time, daft things like that. And I'm not finishing work tomorrow after all, my NVQ instructor has handed his notice in and with only one visit before I've finished it I would have to have a new instructor so I've arranged to go to work on Tuesday to finish the course off before he leaves! Ah well the packing is finished now apart from last minute stuff so I will try to start to enjoy it.

Sounds as though you have everything sorted Wendy, just relax now and have a wonderful time.

You will have a wonderful time, Wendy. Remember that many people visit WDW having done no planning whatsoever and still have a fantastic time, so whatever you can remember is a bonus! And CMs for the most part are great with anything you have forgotten. And don't worry about reservation numbers, I didn't need a single one of mine - they can always bring your info up somehow, so if it gets mislaid, don't let it stress you out. I hope you all have a magical time :wizard:

I read about Disney all the time - I reckon I`ve forgotten 95% of it by the time we get there!
Just relax and enjoy it - and if some plans need to go out of the window - don`t stress it. Although if you forget to take motes for the trippie - you may not be forgiven ;)

Just don't make the first timer mistake.

Don't try to see everything the first time. You'll just wear yourself out. You will be back again. Go back to the hotel every afternoon for a few hours break. That is what pools are for.

Don't miss Soarin at EPCOT. Get a fast pass as soon as you get there.

that is the BEST advice - RELAX and enjoy...
and when you're there, don't worry about missing seeing this or that...
otherwise you'll drive yourself insane..
just enjoy whatever it is you're doing at the time and don't worry about what you're not seeing or doing..

it's a holiday....to enjoy being together at the happiest place on earth....
