My wife and I just planned a long weekend for oct 12th-15th at AKV. I know everything is probably booked what can we do? We need help fast. Thanks everyone. :goodvibes

I just added the 13th and 14th onto my vacation and was able to get Kona for dinner, Cape May for dinner..my choice of times.

I suggest writing down where you would like to eat at..be flexible with your times and give it a try. Have a lot of back up choices just in case

Both Kona and Cape May are great suggestions. We just ate at both last week. I think you could probably swing Whispering Canyon (another favorite) and maybe even Crystal Palace. Good luck and have fun!!!!

That's the very weekend we will be there for my 50th birthday (12th) trip. Don't forget the Food & Wine festival will be going on and if all else fails you can hit the marketplace booths in Epcot and try all the different foods from the different countries!

Nine Dragons is good for Chinese and Concourse steakhouse is generally not booked solid.

I definitely agree with Kona, and maybe you could try the Plaza in the MK. I am eating there for the first time in a few weeks, and they generally seem to have open slots. You might also look into Spoodles on the Boardwalk and Yachtaman's Steakhouse at the Yacht Club! Best of luck and let us know what you come up with!

GF Cafe and Olivia's are good choices in addition to the above favorites. Have you tried the 50s Prime Time. I changed some of my ADRs last week and had no problem getting the times I wanted for Kona Cafe and the GF Cafe. Good Luck. At least the free dining will be over, so that helps you a little.

If you're not purchasing the DDP, I'd try for restaurants that don't accept the plan. You may have better luck finding availability. Try Bistro de Paris in Epcot for a nice meal. The restaurants at Swan & Dolphin may work for you. There's also restaurants at DTD that don't accept the DDP. Try those. Whatever you decide, I'd try calling for ADRs. I've made a same day ADR at DTD. When we arrived, the wait with no ADR was 2 hrs. Our wait was less than 15 min. If all else fails, ESPN Club doesn't accept ADRs.

Try breakfast or lunch at Fresh in the Dolphin hotel, you won't be unhappy. It is generally quiet and yummy.

Hi! I would tell you to try for any restaurant you like. You never know! Look at me! I've been trying to get Le Cellier for dinner for the past 3 months for our Sept 29-Oct 9 trip and TODAY I was actually able to get it! 6:30pm on October 1!!!!!!!! I guess you could say that alot of pixiedust: might help!!!!!!!!:cloud9:

I love Concourse Steakhouse and 50's Prime Time, and 1900 Park Fare is really yummy too.. you could take your chances with those....

Good luck and have a great time!

Just booked yesterday for next weekend and was able to get GF Cafe, Prime Time Cafe, Boma and Kona for 2 people.
