I am wondering what restaurant serves your favorite cheese plate? I am also wondering if anyone has been able to take one to go? I think it would be great to snack on late at night with a nice glass of wine.
Thanks!!!:)

I can only comment on one and that is at Rose & Crown....did not like it. Very skimpy plate for what they charged and they filled it up with grapes rather than cheese. Also had it twice....like to give things a couple of chances but no more with that.

Wife ordered the cheese plate at Chefs de France last Sunday night. We shared appetizers. It was very good. :thumbsup2 There were 4 cheeses on the platter and a small salad. I love cheese and I like to try different cheeses. Were lucky we live close to Wisconsin and go directly to the factories to buy ours.

I really love the cheese plate at the pastry shop in France- small baguette and some fruit rounds it out and it is already wrapped to go.

I agree! I really enjoyed it last week.

I think California Grill has the best. You can choose either 3 or 5 offerings of Artisanal Cheeses with accompianments. We get the 5 everytime we dine there. We have taken it to go.

Flying Fish has a very nice looking cheese course as well. They include one of my favorite cheeses - Valdeon (part sheep part cow Spanish Cabrales type cheese) I'm planning to get one of those for our room.

If you like Goat's Milk Cheeses, Jiko has the best selection for those.

We are Wine & Cheese Freaks. Along with my growing cellar, we make weekly trips to the Import Shop for new & exciting cheeses to try.

Ditto! We LOVE Rose & Crown. We just skip the cheese tray.

I've heard great things about the cheese plate at Narcoosees, and want to try it!

I almost ordered the one on the menu at the GF tea room, but did scones instead.

I have had the cheese plate from the France bakery -- the baguette is very good, the cheese is your average domestic grocery store brie and camembert, I even think there was some plain old colby on there. Nothing special.

By the way, does Norway still serve that amazing rich dark brown cheese at their meals? I ate pre-Princess back in the day, when it had a cold buffet, and I still remember that cheese. Anyone know what it was called? It looked disgusting but was the best cheese I've ever tasted.

Definitely California Grill...

Thanks alot for the great responses!!!. Has anyone taken a cheese plate to go? I would really like to enjoy my dinner and take the cheese plate back to the resort to nibble on later. Can you order the cheese plate at CG as an appetizer or a dessert on the dining plan this year?
Thanks again!!!!!

I've never ordered a cheese platter to go, but have ordered the cheese and fruit platter from room service that was wonderful.

Loved the cheese plates at Flying Fish (appetizer) & Cali Grill (dessert). Both times the cheese plate was included as an option for its respective course on the DDP.

I think California Grill is the best we've had. We had a really great one last August--this August it was still very good but there were two cheeses I didn't really enjoy.

Here's some food porn for ya :) :
