What are your kids (or you) wearing for Halloween?

My boys are going to be Captain Jack and Barbossa. Captain Jack was easy, but Barbossa has been a challenge. We are still working on that one. I think it is going to cost us a fortune before we are done! Now I'm wondering if I should work on Will and Elizabeth costumes for DH and me...

SO, any suggestions for Barbossa?

What are your kids wearing?

Sorry I don't have any ideas for Barbossa. Good luck.
Mine are going as Capt. Jack (DS7) a ghost (DS5) I need help with that one and a Disney princess (DD1) I still haven't decided which princess. It'll probably be up to what I can find on ebay the cheapest.

DD2.5 is going to be Mary Poppins. Grandma is making the coat and skirt (difficult to find a long enough skirt--just not fashionable!) and I finished the hat today. (Spray painted her easter hat black and glued on the cherries and daisies.) We bought black boots, a striped 'magic' scarf (not a perfect match, but 'practically perfect!') and an old purse with a 'carpet bag' look to it that will double as her treat bag. All that we have left are the gloves and an umbrella. Nice thing about the costume is that we can layer it up as much as needed underneath since it can be quite chilly here that time of year!

The Disneystore had an awesome Barbossa costume. My boys will be The beast from X-men and Superman. My DD will be spiderwoman.

That sounds like a GREAT costume! Halloween is one of the times I really wish I had at least one girl! :sad1:

Don't you just love it when they are little and you can pick for them. I had DS dressed as a cow one year - it actually mooed! He'd NEVER go for that now. ;)

DD(3) will be going as Snow White. Which really surprised me because she loves Ariel so much. But she looks so adorable in the costume with the red bow in her hair.

Well my daughter will be Batman (she expressed total horror when I suggested Batgirl instead :lmao:) and my son will be Cinderella ... j/k he's going to be Robin although he thinks he is going to be Spiderman. I just went out and bought the 1966 Batman movie and the mind control will begin tonight. :rolleyes1

If my DD had to be a princess she would cry. Seriously.

I will be going as a middle-aged exhausted mother of two.

My seven year old son insists on being "Ratatootie" as he calls him. I ordered a Remy costume from Disney store but it is on back order and hopefully it will fit him and get here in time. He is small for his age and I ordered the biggest size they had (5-6).

He does not want to be Chef Linguini at all which I thought would be cuter - I figured I would buy him a little chef's outfit and put a stuffed Remy under his chef's hat peeking out. Maybe this idea will help someone else. :thumbsup2

DS is going as the Red Power Ranger. There was no other option for him. I knew months ago that would be his choice given the obsession he has with them  We found one (with muscles and cape, as he wanted) for $14.95 on Disneyshopping.com :thumbsup2

We'll be at WDW next month and are going to MNSSHP. DH and I are thinking of dressing up also, but we're not really keen on coordinating with DS's costume :rotfl:

The four kids in our group will be:
4yr old: Tin Man
3yr old: Lion
2 yr old: Dorothy
1 yr old: Scarecrow

I can't wait to see them all dressed up!

The adults are mostly wearing t-shirts with Disney Halloween themed iron-ons. Two of the adults are wearing costumes yet to be determined!

Our DD is Three. I picked her up at Day Care today and asked some of her friends she Trick-or-Treated with last year what they were going to be for Halloween. They both said Cinderella. Knowing my little girl's infatuation with Cinderella, I expected her to chime in with the same response. Nope, she said she wanted to be Jasmine from Aladdin. It was good to see her show some independence from the peer group at this early stage.
Now we have to find a Jasmine costume before our haunted camping trip in just a few weeks. Next year she will experience the thrill that is the MNSSHP!
Mommy and I are even more excited about that trip than she will ever know.
