Shutters at CBR

We had good food but not good service at Shutters. We ate the sticky wings and onion rings. Those were both appetizers. Check the menu on this site it is a decent selection. Cost wise it is middle of the road for disney. If you are staying at CBR I would recommend it. If not and you have a car then maybe. If not, I would skip it and eat somewhere close to where you are staying or playing.

We did not like this restaurant at all! Captain's Tavern was way better and the actual restaurant itself was a lot nicer too. Don't waste your time.

Hey I hope to see you all at the CBR.:cloud9:

I didn't make plans for Shutters. I didn't care too much for the Catains Tavern way back on our honeymoon.

We were at CBR in August and ate at Shutters several times. Too hot for us to go back and forth all day.

We had good food and good service at every meal. The prime rib was excellent and my DH, who likes his meat well, got and end cut which I tasted and thought was better than my regular cut. Also the steak was much better than the steaks at Concourse IMO.

There is also a pasta dish that was fantastic. Penne, olives, spinach, peppers or roasted tomatoes (I can't remember) and chicken or shrimp. I don't remember everything that was in it, but it was very good.

For appetizers we had the onion rings (good, regular, but better when eaten with the steak), ceasar salad (good), onion soup (very good), coconut shrimp (very good).

The chocolate cakes dessert was beyond compare and the raspberry sauce made it even better. The cheesecake was just average.

The end cut usually is more flavorful, if you like your steak well done, it's worth asking for it. My DH and I always debate this, as he like his meat medium. Often with steak, too well done and it loses falvor, but with prime rib, all the seasoning is on the outside of the meat, so the end cut is better.
