I was wondering if anyone just back noticed alot of items being dropped from the menu? I am hearing buzz that most resturants are no longer serving steak. Is this true?
Last year Le chefs changed their manu during free dining and there was quite an uproar. I think hyamburgers and flank steak replaced the filet and something else! We were going in late November, and I was going to cancel as I didn't want to have an expensive burger or cheap steak, but when we went the old menu was up and running!
It was two years ago. Of course now a bunch of people are complaining that the steak has been replaced with the duck, and of course, it must be the DDP's fault.Yeah, last year (or maybe the year before) Chef's replaced the duck with something else. Everyone was in an uproar over losing their duck. I had made that ADR specifically for the duck, so I too cancelled. Now, I hear that Chef's has brought the duck back, but removed the steak (just in time for free dining).
ITA! And I'd get completely bored with a restaurant sooner or later that never changes it's menu.I think that just goes to show that the changes at Chefs, both last year and this year, had little to do with free dining, and were just normal, routine menu changes, which should be expected.
I wouldn't worry about it. There are lots of reasons a restaurant could run out of an item. Trust me, I used to be a cook, and we'd run out of items once in awhile. I'm sure the DDP and the filet running out didn't have anything to do with one another. They probably didn't get an order in or something.I am here now and we had our first TS at Kona. When we asked to order the filet we were told that they ran out. Our TS time was 5:30. So, by 5:30 on a Monday night they ran our of the filet which was clearly printed on the menu. Are you Kidding me!!!!
