Diaper Changing Facilities in Men's Rooms

From our past travel experiences (and everyday life) we've found that many men's restrooms do not have diaper changing tables where almost all the women's rooms do.

How about Disney parks? I'm hoping with so many families they've figured out that Dad's take small kids too. We will be traveling with a 3 1/2 year old and 3 month old. We prefer to divide and conquer restroom stops with Mom taking potty trained 3 year old and Dad taking baby for a change. Mostly because it seems that no matter where you are women's restrooms are cleaner with more stalls to take 3 year old in.

But if we're going to be continually sending Dad in to check for a changing table first, I might just have full-time potty duty.

It is my understanding that all Disney park restrooms have diaper changing stations, regardless of gender designation. They also have family restrooms.

It sure does seem like they should - and I think they probably had more than most - but if I remember correctly there were a few DH found that did not have a diaper changing area. Either that or it was his easy way out.

I go to disney about every 2 weeks with my 2 daughters and have never had an problem finding a changing station in all the bathrooms. My wife loves it....:(

Thanks. I was hoping WDW would be family oriented enough to have changing tables in both restrooms.

It's amazing how many places don't have changing tables in the men's room when there's one in the women's.

My husband changed my dd diaper most of the time on our last trip and he never had a problem finding a changing table. At home he often has to go in and check too. I really don't understand why this old fashion idea remains in so many places! You can also use the changing tables at the baby care stations in every park. Those are wonderful! Your 3 year old can even sit down and play with a couple toys or watch tv while you change the baby!

DUDE You COMPLETELY ruined it for all of us! I mean - I've been telling my wife for YEARS that they just don't put those in men's rooms! Oh dear... there are men everywhere who are at this moment getting lectures about how on this trip you have no excuses, mister... you're helping with diaper duty. :rotfl2:

OK - here's your chance to redeem yourself... We all also tell our wives that the seats in the mens room are just NASTY, so there's no way we can take DD's (or DS's with a numero 2 need) to the men's room. Now DON'T go busting that one for us! editor's note - this is actually kinda' true... you know how men are with raising the seat at home - well in public, you have no idea what happens

Luckily, both of mine are done with diapers ;) (well, DS still does at night, but that doesn't count).

DH had no problems finding them everywhere at Disney on our trips.

A lot of our restaurants around here don't have them in the men's room. The other day there was a table next two us with two dads out with their kids and one baby had a nasty complete blow-out poo diaper. The man kept apologizing, but had to change it on the bench seat (on a portable changing mat) because there wasn't a changing table in the bathroom!

I don't know, but I think this should be some kind of law. My husband gets so frustrated when he goes to change her diaper and there isn't a table.
I also have complaints about changing station being in odd locaitons. For example. I went to Bob Evans the other day and their table was right beside the sink-in that with the table open, one of the sinks couldn't be used. It was quite crowded in there and people seemed a bit frustrated with the whole ordeal.
Also, we go to Target quite often and like to use the restroom by the pharmacy. It is the biggest bathroom I think I've ever been in and it has one toilet and one sink. NO table! It seems like it would be the perfect place for a family restroom. We still don't get that one!
My favorites are the tables inside of stalls. That really works for me.

Since we use the child swap, one parent rides the bigger rides with DS while the other hangs out with DD it is nice that WDW has diaper changing tables in both rooms.
