I have lurked here on and off over the last few years, think I even posted a few times on the SB boards eons ago before everything was all nicely organized like it is now.

lewdyan has been telling me to come on over and say Hi, so since she rolled out the welcome mat to all newcomers today I thought that I would join the Open House.

I have been more of a scrapbooking collector than anything else in the last few years. Actually I haven't even bought anything new in over a year. My goal for this year is to get my kids off to school and maybe unearth my SB stuff from where it has been since I moved 2 years ago and maybe do a few pages.

I also enjoy some crafty things, leaning toward the crude and cheap variety. My latest was $1.00 centerpieces for a Swim Team banquet made mostly from paper bags and construction paper. They turned out quite cute!

Yet another collector here..but I promise to put it to use soon!!!
I'm waiting to get this crazy week taken care of w/ back to school, cross country, soccer, basketball, football, and every other event they have going for me...and I'm going to scrap this weekend.... I have to stop mid day on Sat..because our HS football team is playing at the DOME...so we must all head out of town in a caravan to go get rowdy at the DOME!!! I sure hope like the last time that the last person out of town remembers to turn off the lights!!! (Yep, I live in a small town where everyone goes to the game on Friday night..except this game is Sat.)

That is what DH keeps telling me! He says that I when the kids move out and I am bored I will have so much scrapbooking to keep me busy and I will love going over the old photos. I just keep telling myself that as I watch the photos pile up!

OMG! You totally get it! That is exactly it! I have so many embellishments that I am saving for just the right page, but of course no page I have done yet is "just that page", so I go buy other embelishments for the current page and save the others. . .

Umm...*raises hand* I have no kids, no job and my books aren't even close to being done. Although, I keep telling myself, "if I could just get my WDW pictures printed the pages would put themselves together with how much swap stuff I have."

The latest excuse is that our HD has less than 1GB of space left. If I start editing pics (and I ALWAYS keep a copy of the original), I'll fill it right up! We are going to get an external, but there are some other expenses that have to get taken care of first.

me too!!! LOL My goal after the kids go back to school is to hammer out my WDW trips. I only have 4 more. until the next one that is, which is hopefully in Dec, we may have to cancel though.

as for me.....
i love to collect the "stuff"! i have to agree with patchchild, i'm a horder! my all time favorite is sizzix! that's why i have to have AWM as my sponsor. instead of AA i should be attending SA!!!!

Hate to disappoint you, but I have tried that. I have the photos all printed. They are in a box with the album, all the paper, embellishments, memorabelia, various swap items, scraplifting layout ideas, etc...

Those darn things have been in there together for over a year and they have still not put themselves together!
