ABBF rental at the Poly

I was wondering where the rental stuff is located at the Poly when you get there. Who do I ask about it? Did it go smoothly for others in the past at the Poly? 27 days to go excitement/panic is setting in, just want to be as ready as possible! Thanks!!:goodvibes

We'll be at the Poly in 34 days and we've ordered stuff from abbf as well so I'm anxious to see if anyone knows the answer to your post. I'm just guessing but I think they hold it in the baggage area and I was just going to ask the front desk about it when we check in. I'm pretty sure they'll deliver it to your room after check in. We'll have lots of deliveries that day, Garden Grocer, ABBF & gift baskets. Yikes!

Wendi2000- ABBF is A Baby's Best Friend - its a rental company where you can rent full size cribs, strollers, highchairs - the list goes on. Their website is www.abbf.com.

I would call ABBF and ask, but I think you're right - they most likely leave the item/s with Bell Services. I know that's how most of the wheelchair rental places handle deliveries; I can't see that this company would be any different.

We stayed Jan last year and rented a full size crib. Ours was waiting in our room when we checked in.

I will let you know how it goes when I get back! Have a good trip!

We had a standard room and it fit fine on the far side of the room near the balcony. We moved the chair out of the corner. It left plenty of room for us to get to everything.

i'm confused---I dont' remember a box?? The crib was just there when we arrived.

I'm glad theres plenty of room w/the crib - I was wondering this w/our stay at the Poly. Probably Bell Services kept the box for you.

Haven't used ABBF at Disney. Used them at another location where they would drop off and pick up in your room and liked it. I think their policy for disney resports is different than other places, but I could be wrong. Chose not to use last time after we found out about a place called Children's Furniture. I don't think they have a website, but you can do a search on this board for them for their phone number. It was two years ago and policies might have changed since, but CHildren's furniture had the crib set up in the room when I checked in and when I checked out I left it in the room and they came and got it. The ABBF policy of dealing with Bell services and having to assemble the crib and then box it up seemed way to stressful for vacation for me. I was going to pay bell services to deliver it to the room and I assume have to tip generously for drop off and pick up buy bell services. Again, policies may have changed since then. Regardless, having a real crib versus a pack n play can be a real lifesaver for children that don't do the pack n plays. Worth every Penny

We've used ABBF the past two times at the Poly and our items were at bell services. Bell services brought all of our items (once we had a crib, and other time, a toddler bed) to the room shortly after we got to it. When we had the crib, the guy who delivered it opened up the packing materials for us. We did tip him well. Yeah, it's not especially fun setting up and breaking down a crib on vacation, but it wasn't too terrible. You can either set the crib up by the sliding doors or in between the beds.

Thanks for the info...specifically about the Poly - I wasn't sure where we'd end up putting the crib. We've rented a stroller and the dining chair w/tray as the Poly rooms don't have a table and chairs. Thought about cancelling the crib but I think we'll go w/it and I'll bring some sheets/blankets from home to make it feel more homey.

I second the thanks for the info on the Poly set up. I ordered the booster type seat that straps on to the chair, I did not realize that there was not a chair for this at the hotel, duh, I think that i will cancel it and he can just sit in a stroller to eat. I agree that it might be a PIA to set up but I am just so happy to be taking this trip with my happy healthy baby I am not going to stress! I had a lot of drama when I was pregnant with Johnathon and I did not know if he would be healthy, he is FINE, so I don't need the dream team for my year of a million dreams prize! :cloud9: Sorry, I got carried away! Have a wonderful trip all! 25 days to go!!!!:cool1:

There is one chair I believe w/the desk so you could use that if you want. Thats what I'm planning on doing. I had some drama w/my pregnancies as well - so glad we both had healthy children. Enjoy your vacay & your son's 1st bday! :goodvibes
