What would you do?

We are heading to the Kingdom on Saturday, Sept 1. We had planned on staying at CSR on that night and moving to Poly for four more nights. I showed my husband a picture of CSR and he thought the kids (2 and 4) would enjoy pop or an all stars more. It is really not a big deal because it is only for one night. We have never been to CSR. The kids have been to POP and loved it. We have never stayed at an all stars resort. So, what do you think? Move to a value resort for the night or stay at CSR? What would be more Disney like for our children?

I'd stick with CSR. The pool there is supposed to be incredible. Also, it's fairly late in the game to be changing reservations at this point, if you're there 9/1. It seems like a lot of hassle for something your kids might not care about for one night.

If you're children are that young, they would love the ASMovies - huge Buzz and Woody, other large theming. We stayed at CSR for two nights last year and my teenagers didn't like it all. The pool was so far from our room, no one bothered much with it at all - way too far to get to the main hall for food/souvenirs, and the buses stopped at five different places. And no Disney theming at all - themed for it's name I know.
Lots of people love CSR, but all for different reasons. Your kids would enjoy the Disney theming at the All Stars I'm sure. But thats jmo! You'll have a great trip regardless!:goodvibes

I agree not worth the hassle for one night and besides, time to try something new!

How are your kids...would it be alot to move with them and luggage?? I am jsut thinking the stress factor...however, I think the themeing of POP..or one of the All Stars would be fun....but then..they may NOT want to leave there!! Then what do you do?? LOL..CSR looks lovely and I cant wait to stay there soem day! Have fun!

At this point, I'd leave things alone. the last thing you need last minute is for someone to screw something up.

I've always wanted to stay at Coronado. I've been to Movies and Pop and love them both...but I'd take Coronado if I had the chance!

Enjoy!

are the kids going to use the pool on that first night? If yes, then i would pull up pictures of all the pools and ask the kids which one they want to swim in the most (I would assume the 4 y.o. would be better at expressing him/herself).

If they are not going to use the pool, then I don't think it really matters where you stay. The kids aren't going to care about the themeing one bit. You should stay where mommy wants to stay (and daddy if his opinion matters). CSR is very pretty. IF you really want to try it, you should go for the first night.

Just a side opinion, if you really want to do a moderate, I think Port Orleans French Quarter is the best for that age range. It's a moderate hotel, but it has some decor like the Values (the dragon at the pool and the aligators partying all of the pool area.) And it's really small to walk around.
