Are ANY coupons working for National in Sept??

My goodness!!! I've never had so much trouble using coupon codes for a car rental before!!! I've heard that National coupons are at their limit for the Fall, but has anyone had luck with any coupon codesat all?? I'm looking for Sept. 21st to the 24th and every coupon I've tried, I get the dreaded, "coupon cannot be applies to this reservation". It's very frustrating!!

I'm not sure how long it has been but for some time now every day I check my car rental rate and have not been able to use a coupon with National (or Alamo)....several weeks anyways. I got a fabulous low rate with Alamo about a month ago and though I hate giving up EA, my rate is $114.00 with taxes for 8 days, $74 less than what I had with EA with a $30 coupon off at the time I had booked it, could not pass that up!Alamo right now is still very low even without the coupons...better than National. Good luck!!

Used one last night, from the Entertainment book, for the 13th to the 16th on an intermediate.

14th seems to be the "de couponing cut off date" for a lot of coupons

the base rate after the 13th seems to reflect a 30$ decrease
139 - 109, thus in essence they have applied the 30 off...it just does not look as nice as showing up on your reservation as "coupon allowed"

I needed a 3 day rental, so I am now getting $64.69 for an intermediate EA car using 5007160 and no coupon. $64.69 total.
Alamo is $64.70 with a coupon for 3 days mid-size. DH like National Emerald Aisle, so we will go with National. This is last week of Sept (Fri to Mon).

I have been having the same problem from Nov 18-26. I love national but also tried Alamo would not accept any coupons.I must say that Alamo's prices were much cheaper.
