albertsons or safeway delivery

Hubby and I want to do a delivery of water, coke and snacks to PP do we have to be there when it is delivered or can they have it dropped with bell services? If the answer is yes can you get coke, water snacks in walking distance or cheap taxi ride? Or just pack it?

I am not sure about deliveries but I know that there is a food for less or something like that near and you could take a taxi theere.... Stuff there is really cheap.. Also there is a Target Super Store near buy.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have a related question. Where is the closest place to the DL entrance to buy some milk? Is there somewhere walkable? Thanks for any help.

So I know that there is a little mini mart type thing on Harbor.. There is a 7-11 on the intersection of Harbor and Katella. That is a little walk.. about half mile. I believe if you are using ART they have a shuttle that runs buy there. I know that 7-11's sell milk and items like that.


Also like I was saying in a previous post that there is a Food 4 Less in range of Disneyland

The mini mart at the Tropicana sells about everything that a 7-11 type store sells. We bought cereal and fresh fruit at the store when we stayed there in May plus other things we forgot to pack...

I did read recently that you have to be there. But you schedule delivery, in 2 or 4 hour increments (at least with Safeway/Von's), so there's a *little* bit of control that you have.


That said, I've been wondering where the Von's actually is! Turns out we'll be driving, and I've been thinking it might just be easiest to stop in, rather than wait for a delivery.

We usually use one suitcase for snacks, paper plates and bowls...etc, so all we're really going to need is some Pepsi, bottled water, a loaf of bread and milk for the week.

Even though I'm sure that Tropicana's prices will be more than a grocery store, I don't think we'll come close to $50 which is the minimum for an Albertson's delivery.

I used Albertsons the last time we were at DLR and my order was less than $50. When I called them beforehand, I asked if there was a minimum and they said there wasn't. I did pay a $9.95 delivery fee though. Are you referring to a minimum in order to waive the delivery fee ?
