We are back! "Christmas with the mouse" trip report!!!**New 1/1/08**

Hi!

I want to join in. I think writing a pre-trip report is a great way to get excited, no matter how early it is. I just started mine for our September trip and it's been so much fun. I can't wait to hear the rest of your plans!

Hi I found you on ILMICKEYS trip report and followed you over. I am going in Dec too and the wait is killing me. First I have to say I LOVE SCI-FI. I can't wait to go back to it. I don't know if it was the food or the atmosphere that I love so much, maybe both, those burgers are colossal huh? My DS remarked that they were bigger than our dogs. lol

I plan to decorate our room, I would like to bring a table top tree, but I am flying, so I might just have to settle for a strand of lights. So I say if you want to decorate, do it. If your worried about transporting between 2 resorts you could always wait and just put the tree up once you get to your 2nd resort.

This is only my 2nd trip ever. First time going in Dec, I am like you, I love Christmas, all 4 of my trees (sometimes just 3) are up the weekend before Thanksgiving, I like to look at the decorations while preparing dinner.

All of your ADR's look awesome. It's funny how all of us here on the Dis like to know and find it so interesting where everyone is going to eat. I'm trying to not repeat too many places this year, but I love Sci-Fi, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Coral Reef, I am also going to CP again, but breakfast this time.

I am excited for your little guy just cause he is so excited, that is a great feeling, just like knowing that Santa is coming soon.

Can't wait to read more.

Greetings from another December trippie!

We're heading back "home" to the Mouse House the first week, and have ADR'S for Chef Mickey's, California Grille, and tickets for the MVMCP. Also considering a Candlelight Processional package.

I'm so excited..it's our first holiday visit. Can't wait to see all the decorations! I'm getting the heebie jeebies, I'm soooo excited :cool1:

Hello! :wave2:

I'm here, too, because:

1. I noticed that you're an RN and we nurses have to stick together. :grouphug:
2. I have the same twin passions, Christmas and WDW. :santa: ::MickeyMo
3. I had the good fortune to visit WDW in December back in '05, :woohoo: and
4. Oh well, I guess I can squeeze in just one more PTR!

Kathy

:welcome: Kathy! I agree with you...we nurse do have to stick together!!! It's nice to meet you! So, what dates did you visit WDW in December '05? I can NOT wait to see "the world" decorated for Christmas!! *YIPPEE* Give me any advice/suggestions you think of!

:welcome: travelgirl06!!! Glad to have you here! I agree with you. I think a pre-trip report is the perfect way to get excited! I'm so jealous you are going next month!!! I'm going to have to read your trip report to get the low down on your vacation!!! :cool1:

I'm here too!! We'll be at WL the week of Dec. 9th. I'm done with all the planning and now the wait is driving me crazy!! And on top of that, it's a surprise for DD4. We promised her a WDW trip before she goes into Kindergarten, but she has no idea when. It's really hard keeping this a secret!!!

Well, it will definitely be fully decorated when you're there, because the stuff starts going up in early November!:rotfl:

We were there the first week of December....was it Dec 3rd or 4th that we arrived? I don't remember. But we were able to book the Candlelight Processional and MVMCP; both were outstanding!

If you want to see the Mickey's Night Before Christmas show at MVMCP (and you should, it was wonderful), definitely get there early for seats. We thought we would have enough time showing up 20 min before the show, but the theater was packed :crowded: and we had to stand in the back. The kids had a hard time seeing.

I thought that the Christmas parade alone was worth the extra $$ for the party!!

I know you will just love, love, love it!!

Kathy

Fellow Alabamian here also.:wave2: We will be there Dec 1 - 5 at POR. This trip will be the first for my great nephew (who will be 5 at the time) and the first in a while for his mother and grandfather (my niece and brother in law). We are trying desperately to keep it a secret, however my sister is having a very hard time.

I was there in Dec. 01 and absolutely loved it. I am a little torn between which is my favorite time of year to go, Christmas or Halloween. Like you I LOVE Christmas, but I also like Halloween....and you can't beat the crowds in October.

I have been considering a Pre-Trip report but was waiting a little longer. Now I guess I will have to get started. Everyone else that is going is sick of me going over our plans.

Hi! I see you live on the BEAUTIFUL gulf coast!!! LOVE it down there!!! How exciting you are suprising your great nephew!!! I really wish I could keep a secret! I'm no good at it.
I agree with you, we LOVED going in October...and I hope we like December just as much!
I'm telling you...a pre trip report is the way to go...if only for yourself. My family is getting sick of hearing me talk about it. At least this way if you get sick of me you can just refuse to read it!! LOL.

I'll be looking for your report!:cheer2:

MAMA NEEDS A NEW PAIR OF SHOES!!!!

I've learned the hard way that I need a SUPER comfortable/supportive pair of shoes for WDW. THis really sunk in our first trip with our son after I had HUGE blisters rubbed into my feet. See, I bought new shoes a couple of months before we left. Some SUPER cute New Balance that I bought totally for how they looked and NOT for how comfortable they were...plus I think I got the wrong size. Anyway..I wore them for 3 straight days in WDW. That 4th day my feet were KILLIING me. I basically had my whole foot covered in mole skin! It was awful!! I had to break down and buy some Minnie Mouse flip flops in the MK and wore them the rest of the time we were there. Our next trip for SWW I wore some very comfortable flip flops the entire time. Now that we are going in December I realize it may be a little to cold for flip flops the whole time...so I've been on the look out for some comfortable shoes.

I found them one week ago and my shoe store was out of them so they had to order them from another store. I got them yesterday and they feel like I'm walking on air. It's SOooo wonderful!! They are "Nike Air Max Assil (2)" Not only are they #1 the right size (I had to fess up and realize that my feet really did get bigger when I was pregnant with my son and never went back to pre pregnancy size...and I bought a size 8 1/2) #2 SUPER comfortable...but they are ALSO SUPER CUTE! Gray...with a little bit of white and BEAUTIFUL coral accents! I love them! I would post pictures if I knew how. (anyone reading this that knows how feel free to clue me in!!) I'm sooo excited!! *YIPPEE* :woohoo:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3:

Hi, Princess RN!! I'm following your pre-trippie, too! We will be at POR 11/26-12/6. This is our second time going during that time and you will LOVE MVMCP!!! Our first time, we loved it so much, we purchased tickets at our hotel to go another night!!!!! The parade is great and the two shows, Twas the Night before Xmas and the one in front of the castle are awesome!

Oh! And we love Liberty Tree Tavern! We have that booked again too! That is the best character dinner we have ever done. Lots of character interaction...we have never laughed so hard or had so much fun!

Le Cellier is also one of our favorites. We've only had lunch there but it was amazing.

I can't wait to hear more about your trip! It makes me more excited about our own trip! I've been working on a countdown calendar and chain to start the fun!

Laurie

1ST NIGHT RESORT STAY UPDATE

So, as you know, we are driving down this year. We decided to leave super early Saturday morning (it keeps getting earlier and earlier) and stay at a DTD resort since our ressies at POFQ don't start until Sunday. Sure, we could have added another night to our POFQ stay..but we wanted to try something different. So, I have gone back and forth between the DTD Hilton and the Grosvenor. The Grosvenor having much better rates. (and it's only for 1 night right?) Anyway...today I decided to go ahead and book the Hilton and go with my first choice from the beginning. I know it's just for one night so who cares...but this way we are trying out another hotel that we wanted to stay at (not just looking for the cheapest). I did find a pretty decent rate.

Anyway...so that's the newest update.  I think we have all our resort stays booked now!!! (let's hope so anyway!)

Hi! I saw your ticker was the same as mine, so I had to check out your pre-trippie! I have to run to work, so I'll read the rest later, but I wanted to subscribe and say hi! You may have mentioned it and I haven't read that far yet, but what night is you dinner at LTT & MVMCP??? We are doing that on Sun 12/2. I can't wait! It was AWESOME last time!:santa:
