Crocs -- What style/colors do you like best? And are Airwalks good too?

I'm researching comfy shoes and have found lots of crocs threads on here. Seems most people swear by them. I think I'm leaning toward the Mary Jane style the most or maybe the Scutes. What styles and colors do you like best? I need a color that goes well with jeans and khakis. Do you wear socks with them? Also, are Airwalks just as good? Has anyone compared the two? Thanks!

I personally prefer the mickey mouse ones. . . i have two pairs, a black pair and a whitish pair. . . I have tried the regular ones and the mary janes, they just are not as comfy as the mickey ones. . .

I like my black Mary janes, they go with everything.
The best part is filling the holes with Disney Jibbitz!

Well, I personally just don't like them, so I avoid them for myself. My 2 year old has a gold pair and a green pair (the Mickey ones) and likes them but still prefers her other shoes for going out in.

Check out Clarks & Privas (same actually - find a Clark's store) - BEST shoes I've ever had. They're pricey but the customer service is unbelievably amazing and fantastic and the styles are much nicer and can be worn with casual or more formal attire. The shoes are heaven too, won't do another Disney trip without them.

I have both as have my girls. I find them both as comfortable. I have the normal crocs and a pair of the new thong type. I prefer the thong type for when it is really hot although I wore them when we were there this past July and it was SO hot my feet rubbed and I got a blister. I went back to my normal crocs with socs and I was fine. They truly are VERY comfortable though and I love them.

I prefer black as they go with everything. I have an all black pair of Airwalks and a pair of red and black Mickeys and Black and Red Mickeys. I prefer the Black and red as they go with more. My girls wear theirs all the time.

A word of warning though. I bought the girls and myself the little jibbits or whatever they are called and we lost most of them before our trip was even over. They tend to fall out very easily. They are VERY cute but they don't last.

Kelly - I bought Morgan all the jibbitz too (too cute to resist!) She hasn't lost any yet though. Is it the Mickey crocs that you've lost them with or the regular hole ones?

I've also heard people say that Crocs were really hard on their socks. Morgan wears hers without, so I'm not sure. Anyone know that?

Crocs is pretty much all my girls have worn in over a year. They wear theirs without socks in the summer. We had issues with the JIbbitz in the Disney crocs but no issues with regular crocs. Sometimes the Jibbitz will break.

I love the Athens and the ones with the 2 thin straps that go on top of your foot. By far the most comfortable shoes ever. I also own a reg pair and a Mary Jane pair. The Mary Janes are not as wide.

In this family we have over 10 pairs :scared:

I own 9 pairs of crocs, this does not count any my husband has (his BEARS and Pirates pairs) or my kids (both have 2 pairs of Mickey, plus my DD has mary janes).

I personally love for STYLE my Mary Janes. I wear them all the time, and yes, mostly with socks.

For COMFORT in the parks, I found the best pair were my SCUTES which seem to have a lot more cushion than the rest. I also wore my Mickey's which are wider than most of my other pairs, so they were very comfy for me as well.

I have HORRIBLE feet. By the end of most of our trips my feet feel bruised and I can hardly walk at all. By switching between my most comfortable crocs and tennis shoes, I think I survived. :cool1:

I have both crocs and airwalks. The airwalks i have are "squishier" than my crocs. I really prefer wearing them for long periods of time. I don't know if the style of crocs that i have were just less squishy or what.:confused3 They are still comfy, though. Last summer, i both kinds of them at DL for 5 days and they were great! My daughters also have the airwalk flipflops and they are comfy too!

Does anyone where I can buy the Patra Crocs (or styles other than Mary Janes and Athens)? I called my Dillards and sporting goods places and they only have one or two styles. The Crocs website is out of my size at the moment so I'd loved to hear if there are other retailers out there.

After 2 days in the park I had horrible blisters and my feet were killing me. I broke down and bought some mickey ones and my feet felt WONDERFUL. I went from walking like a duck in pain to not even noticing my feet! For me I have wide flat feet, so the width on the crocs really help me. I plan on wearing them again October when we go.

I have to agree with you. CROCS are not good for your feet in the long run. I can barely walk around the block in them. I swear by KEENS a real shoe with real arch support. Ok CROCS are fine for yard work, the pool, beach, kids playing in the water at the park, but IMO not for an all day trip to DL.

I think Crocs are designed with people with flat to normal arches if you have higher arches I have heard to avoid them because they just don't have the support.

Thanks to someone on this board I bought these Montrail I have very high arches and these are AMAZING!!!! I won't lie they aren't the prettiest shoes I have ever owned but they have rocked 4 trips to Disneyland and I plan on having them in another color by the time I hit DW! I haven't even given these up to wear my new Nightmare Before Xmas flip flops which says something.

Note: I also learned that the toe area runs a little long (or maybe my toes are just short) I almost thought I ordered the wrong size until I wore them and read more reviews.

This thread is making me want to cry!!!

I am the proud owner of 6 pairs of Crocs! I have 3 of the Beach style (tan, black, and bright grren) and 3 of the Athens flip flops (green/pink, black, and brown/blue).

I started wearing Crocs in April of 2006. The are the most comfortable shoes ever and once I started wearing them to Disneyland, I no longer had blisters, tired and hot feet, or any leg pain.

Sadly about a year ago, I started getting a really bad rash on my feet both on the top and the bottom. It was bad and was getting worse and worse. I finally got in to see a dermatologist and guess what????

I AM ALERGIC TO MY CROCS! Yes, I can no longer wear my very favorite shoes on the planet!!!

I stopped wearing them a month ago and my feet have completely healed up!

I am so sad about this!:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Yeah I have NO arch at all, so I actually do better in a shoe that isn't made for arch or high arch support. All those narrow little shoes KILL my feet! With the crocs it was the first time where I felt my feet actually could spread out completely. Sooooooo comfortable. I usually get shoes that are wide, but still don't come close to the room and comfort that I get with the crocs.

See I have high arches too. I can wear them if I wear socks to do yard work and such where I am at home and not on the go all day. I do have the flip flops and I like them a lot. They are a good flip flop, but that's just for kicking around the house all day. NEVER dream of wearing them to DL all day.

As for the person who got a rash: Try socks.

I have a dumb question...How do you know if you have high arches? I know I don't have flat feet. And I think my arch is "normal size" whatever that means, but I'm not really sure.

My Mom has a pretty high arch. When I was a kid I used to call her "telephone feet" because her arch was so high her foot looked like the shape of a phone reciever! :rotfl2: The arch just really curves in, unlike my flat donald duck feet. LOL
