Nemo subs--worth the wait?

I've been hearing pretty mixed reviews about whether or not the Nemo sub-ride experience really justifies its long waits in line, but I haven't seen much here about it yet. So, here goes:

1.) If you've ridden it already, what did you think of it?

2.) How long was your wait to ride?

3.) Does it offer FastPass?

4.) Would you ride it again, based on these 1st 3 questions?

Thanks for any help! ;-)

We rode the subs this past Thursday.... they are open during EE so we stood in line at the entry gate starting at 6:15 am. Once inside we were on the 3rd sub out (a story goes with that but I'll get into that in my TR)... for us it was worth it. My kids are 4 and LOVE LOVE LOVE Nemo... the smile and delight on thier face when thay saw nemo and dory was priceless.

Nemo does not offer fastpass.... and I would not have waited in line twice for the ride... but to us it was a must do one time.

1) It reminded me of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which I didn't personally think was much of a ride then. And it isn't much of a ride now. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing.

2) We got to the gates at 6:30 for a 7AM EE. We, along with everyone else, hurried/ran to the attraction, and we got on a sub at 7:30AM.

3) No

4) No

It was a really cute ride but I kind of expected more.
We purposely went on a non-early entry day, park opened at 8am, my husband went ahead and saved us a spot and then I met him with the kids. We were on the ride by 8:15-8:20am after they ran a couple of test subs. This plan worked great for us.

I really liked the ride... also i can say that i RODE a submarine... just for the experiance, i would go again...

but i wont 30+ min for it though... def not worth the wait...

my wait time doesnt count... cuz when i went, it was a walk on :P yes, i cheated!!! ;)

We went on in July. We got on line shortly before park closing at about 11:45PM. We waited about 30-45 minutes to get on. I was very uncomfortable during the ride because the group ahead of us getting on all sat at an angle on their seats & my legs started cramping up about halfway through the ride due to the very confining space. I have no great desire to get on it again any time soon. I really don't think it is worth the long wait. As others have posted, so far there are no fastpasses for this ride. If you are claustrophobic skip this ride.

1 - Very well done, very cute. I love how they incorporated the animation with the underwater scenes. My favorite parts are the Jellyfish scene, Darla holding the bagged fish and the large crabs at the very end.

2 - I plead the fifth...

3 - No

4 - Absolutely. I have gone on it three times. I wouldn't wait more than an hour for it, though. And only an hour because it is new and popular. After the hype dies down, I would wait 30 minutes (my max time for ANY ride;) ).

Good idea! Sounds like lots of people check out Nemo during the EE time, but I wonder if that only presents a new issue-- crowding AND stampeding. ;-)

I'll have to rem. this trick when we get there-- that way, it's only me getting trampled. ;-S=

Thanks again, everybody!

BTW, is there a reason why Disney never gave Nemo the FastPass option yet? Is it the shape/ design of the lines for it, fear of FP abuse, or...?

Thanks!

It's too slow a loader for FP.

I've been on about 8 times. I've also done the video room 3 times (one of my friends works the ride and if he's on the dock when I come by I ask if I can do it. I don't wait in line for this, instead I head up the monorail queue).

I've waited 90 minutes or less each time. Go around parade time or late in the day.

It was a great ride! We rode it this week!
I ran to the ride first as soon as the park opened.
Only a 15 minute wait. But after we got off it was two hours!!!
Waiting 2 hours for that ride that's about 10 minutes is not worth it in my opinion.
And they do not have FastPass for the Nemo ride.
At least none that I didn't see.

I rode it on my EE day, we got on on the 2nd sub. Liked the ride......but the space inside was waaaaay cramped. Would I wait 2+ hrs? Heck no...........I doubt i'd wait 1 hr.......but one thing a lot of people don't seem to realize is that the Nemo ride had a viewing room where you watch the ride [a video taken through a porthole of the ride], from a room off to the side complete with AC and seats and its a better image. Just go to a CM and tell them your clausterphobic and the wait is like 5 minutes for the exact same experience only less cramped. And if anyone calls that cheating oh well.......its the truth.:cool1:

We rode Nemo last Monday during Early Entry. We got into the park a few minutes after 7:00 a.m. and followed the crowd. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes. I think it was worth it. My husband and I had ridden the old subs and were anxious to see the new ones. Our kids loved it and wanted to go again but we couldn't justify waiting 2 hours at other times during the day.

Someone asked if Early Entry created a stampede. The answer is no. There is a large crowd walking down Main Street but there is a whole line of CMs stationed on the route to Nemo pointing the way, blocking closed areas and reminding everyone to walk. We saw a few people jogging but no one was really running or making it unsafe. We just walked as fast as we could. By the time we got in line, we only waited about 30 minutes to board. I thought the ride was very cute. But as long as the lines are ridiculously long, the only way we would do it is with Early Entry.
