We have the ent rate for Oct and I did not opt fot he view of DL. I was wondering if the hotel has a balcony and if so what the ent rate price difference is. I tried to call but the reservations dept was not open.

Most of the rooms at the HoJo have balconies (ground floors have patios). Only a few of the rooms in Bldg. 2 do not. If you request a balcony, they will do their best to accommodate you. There is no price difference for a balcony, only for upgrading to a premium view room or office room.

Do you think is worth it. I am just asking beause we have little ones so I think it would be nice to relax on the balcony. I think we would rather be looking at the park than something else.

Personally, I prefer the balcony views from Bldg. 2 (deluxe rooms). It is of the quiet pool and all the trees have twinkle lights on them. It's very peaceful and quiet.

Some of the view rooms in Bldg. 1 have a tendency to be a bit noisy out on the balconies because of the freeway. The view you will see is of the Matterhorn, Space Mtn and the monorail going by.

We did the premium view room twice, and are now very content with the balcony rooms in Bldg. 2. We don't spend enough time in the room to justify paying for a view. If we aren't in the parks for the fireworks, we prefer to watch them from the jacuzzi.

Good luck with your choice.

We had a premium room in June, and we thought it was VERY worth it! Every night, we sat out on the Balcony and watched the fireworks, or just watched everyone coming back from the park. We had a wine cooler or 2, and the kids peacefully went to sleep without their bumbling parents in there making a ton of noise!:lmao: We were on the 5th floor, and we thought it was peaceful and quiet.

I have a park view room booked during Christmas time, but after reading one of the posts above, I'm wondering if we might get a room where we are able to hear freeway noise. A view of the park would be nice, but what I really want is a quiet room. What are the quietest rooms, and in what building? I have never stayed there before so I am unfamiliar with the property layout, etc. Would a pool view room guarantee a more quiet room than the view room that I have booked? What should I request? :)

I keep reading about the Entertainment Book rate at HoJo, do I need a DL area Ent. book or is it a discount coupon for any HoJo that would be available in the Ent. book of any area? I don't have an Ent. book, but perhaps I will get one! How do you make the reservation, call HoJo directly and tell them you have the coupon, or make it online with a code or what? Thanks!

The "coupon" is actually the card that comes in the Entertainment Book. You do not need one from the OC area, you can use the one from your hometown (so you can use all the other coupons!)

You MUST call the hotel directly and speak with ON-SITE reservations (the 800 number agents will give you a MUCH higher rate)

The HOJO's phone number is : (714) 776-6120

BEST of luck!!
