Contains Bailey's (dominant flavor) and something Norwegian

Overall assessment of desserts
  • Very bready - got to like yeast for the first two!!
  • Worth a try, but better options at French Patisserie

Thanks for those pictures - the waffle looks delicious :thumbsup2

How was the waffle?

Not exactly the healthiest treat in the world, but once every visit, my son has to have his waffle from Norway, with confectioner's sugar and chocolate or strawberries on top (they'll "personalize" your waffle if you ask).
I love coconut, and am a fan of the school bread, but only if I have someone to share it with - it's huge !

I am definitely going to have to try that School Bread. It looks DELISH. :goodvibes And only a snack credit? Heckuva deal.:thumbsup2

Man... you went to Norway and skipped the best dessert there!!!!

The Rice Cream is outstanding.

I've always wondered, is the school bread like a donut? It looks good! What's the yellow stuff on top, some sort of buttery cream or custard?

Great photos!

Oh how I miss my school bread! :cloud9:  I LOVE that thing, and yes you really need someone to hare it with cuz it's huge!

How was the waffle?

I thought it the best of the 3 desserts. It is made to order. It tastes largely like what my mom used to make. I wouldn't consider it gourmet, but fresh, solid fare.

I have had the rice cream in the past - and would agree that it is probably superior in flavor to these three options. We chose these based on what looked good, what other disboarders had said and trying to maximize the snack credits.

Yellow stuff is custard-like cream - and there's more on the inside of the bread - helps moisturize the bread!

I would love to try schoolbread but hate coconut do they make it without?

I don't recall seeing one without coconut. Not sure if you could call someone and request a coconut-free version. Unlike the restaurants where you can customize most things, I suspect cannot be customized. You never know, though.

i WANT THE WAFFLE WITH CHOCOLATE!

This might be do-able - the waffles ARE made to order - and they MAY have chocolate in the bakery.

I love the almond pretzels and have them more then once thoughout my Disney week. But what is Rice Cream - is it like rice pudding or maybe a special coffee - do tell.
