I am looking for any tips for Celebrating our 12th Wedding Anniversary at WDW. I have lunch at CRT booked that day, any other ideas?? I would love to hear some. Thanks in advance :)

Well I might be the oddball here but DH and I have never felt the need to spend a lot of money on each other for our anniversary, we usually go to dinner an that's about it.

That said....

Tuck a bottle of wine or what ever you an DH would enjoy in your luggage ice it down the evenin of your anniversary if you have to wait an drink it after the kids are in bed. I even bought some sturdy plastic cups (glasses) at half price at the end of the summer to do this with much better than the flimsy hotel plastic cups.

Take advantage of dark rides and the TTA after dark to get romantic and act like a newlywed again:)

Behind the Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square there are benches nice quiet sitting area maybe sit there an reflect on your marriage for a bit an what your life has been like an what it would have been without. There are a few other spots too Epcot the UK has that nice garden area where the British Invasion performs if it not show time often it's empty back there. Take advantage of those spots to steal a kiss.

Share a ice cream sundae from a CS an feed each other in the park.

If you absolutely must buy dh a gift hide it in your luggage. Find an excuse to go back to the room get it out then if your creative it's very easy to make it look like it was delivered by a fairy or tinkerbelle maybe a couple days ahead of time you can collect some of that mickey head pixie dust an some glitter to sprinkle outside the door into the room to the gift.

If traveling without kids pack some nice smelly stuff DH enjoys for anniversary night not the normal every day stuff but something special. Take a nice long hot shower pamper yourself a bit. You get the idea...

DW and I have done several anniversary dinners at the California Grill. It's great if you can get a window seat and be there for the MK fireworks.

Also, order up a bottle of the Disney Fairy Tale Cuvee Sparkling wine. :thumbsup2

Like dyna, DW and I don't do gifts but find a nice night out alone is very special.

Thank you fboth for the tips :) I am going to look into California Grill. We will have our 5 year old with us. My husband will be just getting back from a 15 month deployment so she is coming to WDW with us. I would actually prefer to spend this Aniversary with her there too after all we have been through this past year and a half and my dd and my husband are the two people who matter the most to me so I think its fitting we all be together for our special day. I am thinking about ordering an anniversary cake to be where we have dinner at. I just have no clue what kind to choose. I went to the cake thread but theres so many pics its overwhelming. I will have to try again when I have more time. I am also going to check on that wine you mentioned

A little OT, but I wanted to send a "thank you" to your DH for all he's done.

Cali Grill does offer a children's menu, so it could be a fine dinner location for the 3 of you.

I also just read on someone elses thred about thier aniversary that if you tell the hotel you stay at that your celebrating your aniversary they will also help you plan stuff!! :)

we just celebrated our 12th on the 16th. !!!congrats to you!! when we were there in dec we celebrated our parents anniversary by taking them to coral reef in epcot. we arranged it so that a diver came down in the tank w/a sign that said "happy anniversary". they also personalized a menu for them...they cried, they were so surprised..and it was FREE!! call the restaurant and get the info. we dealt with debbi secleux who i think is in charge of this. your husband will never forget it.:thumbsup2

wow that is really neat. Do I need to call the resteraunt itself to set that up or at wdw dine? Thanks

When we celebrated our 25th anniversary, we noted it on our reservation and CG brought us a small anniversary cake for dessert without asking. When we had breakfast at Crystal Palace, they set up the table with a heart shape made from confetti and streamers. They also brought us a magical moment certificate signed by the characters. It was neat! Also, be sure to go to guest services at any of the parks and get "Happy Anniversary" buttons. We were surprised at how many cast members spoke to us and wished us a Happy Anniversary!
