Can you tell me about the photo cd? Where do you get the cards? Where are all the places they take pictures? The CD comes with rights to reprint, right? Any other information would be great.

Thanks,
Ann Marie

Photo cd is about $120. yes you get the right to print. You can get the cards any location a cm is taking pictures, it's a photopass card. If you plan on buying this I would get it the first second you step into the park and get as many pictures taken on it as possible, holds I think up to 300 pics. The only ride you can use it right now is test track. You can get pics at all character greetings, at the entrance to each park, at night in front of castle. Also, at BBB if you have a little girl and are planning that.

When you get a card for the first time, all you have to do is show every photographer that same card every time and they'll scan the pictures on there. You can also put multiple cards on the cd if you get more than one. I have heard that you can also have your character meal pictures put on your photopass cd, according to allears.net-if you know the date and time the picture was taken they can look it up and put it on there, and some of the pictures have a number on the back you can give them to find it. This is a big help if you're eating at Chef Mickey's, Ohana, etc. They charge about $30 for the pictures they take of your family there.

I didn't know that about adding pictures from Chef Mickey's and other character meals. Thanks for adding that. Do you know if they add it right at the restaurant or do you have to go to another location? TIA

This is sooooo worth the $$ - we even had them make a CD of the memory cards from our own cameras! Great investment - we can play it like a DVD at home too!! :cool1: :cool1:

If you purchase the photopass cd for 120.00 do you still have to pay for the pictures taken also or does this cover the all the photos you get taken. Help!!!!:confused3

They don't do it at the restaurant. You have to go to the Town Square Exposition Hall in MK or one of the other picture viewing stations in the other parks when you're ready to purchase the photo cd and tell them to add on any character meal pictures. Just make sure you jot down the numbers on the back of the picture (some have numbers, some don't), approximate time taken, and place taken so they can look it up.

To answer the other question, the photopass cd's do not include character meal pictures unless you specifically ask to have them added on as explained above. Hope this is not too confusing...

We're going w/ DH's parents in January and I plan on sharing a photopass since we're always together. Will we be able to get 2 copies of the CD or will I have to make one when we get home? (not that it's a big deal- I'm thinking more for convenience sake).

Do I have to make the CD the same day I have the character meals, or will the pictures still be in the system by the end of my trip? I was planning to get the CD my last day at the parks, and I also wanted to get the character meals pictures in the CD, but someone said that they get rid of this pictures if you don't buy them at the restaurant. What should I do?:confused3

You get the CD made at the END of your trip. It would be the last thing you buy. All the pictures taken over your vacation would be on there.

AND warning: there is a delay on the pictures showing up on the CD. For example, on our last day, we went to AK. Before we left we got some last minute pics of us in front of the tree. We drove over to the GF resort to buy the CD and those pics were not on the CD. The CM said it takes about 2 hours and that I would have to wait if I wanted them on the CD. SO, my advice...do not get any pics taken at least 2 hours before you plan on buying the CD.

We got the CD and it was well worth it. I just took it to WalMart and had what I needed made.

Has anyone had any problem getting the character's pictures from the restaurants at the end of your trip?

Do you add the borders and extras when you purchase the CD or can you do it once you get home? Or could you even do all the purchasing at home? I love all the added things that you can do with the pictures. I am seriously considering it this trip. I also think that I want to get a lot of pictures done to make it worth the price.

I'm confused do you not have to buy the picture at chef Mickey's now and it will be on your photopass.

Another money saver I found out late in our last trip is when on the rides with pictures you can put 2 different 5x7 pictures on 1 sheet.
instead of buying one sheet per picture

We ate at Chef Mickey's in April and they would not add our pictures taken there to our Disney PhotoPass.
