I've seen many posts about the Photopass in regards to how it works and where to get the CD's, etc - but my question is how much does it cost?! :confused3 How much for the CD? Is it the same price no matter how many pics are on it? Can you just buy individual pics, and if so, how much are they each? I looked on the Photopass website and all I could find was $12.95 for a 5x7 -- that can't be right, is it??? :scared1: I know Disney's expensive but that's nuts!

Any info would be appreciated! :thanks:

That is right for the indivual pictures but I want to say I paid $100.00 for mine last year. They had a special and when they sent me my warning (only so many days to order) email they let me know about the deal. You can also take pictures and add borders and they will be on your cd. Did you see where to order a book of memories? They are awesome too.

I believe the CD is 100.00 and that includes ALL photos taken with the photopass. So I you have a bunch of pics - then I think it is worth it.

The CD price increased from $100 to $125 in Jan. 2007 when they modified it so that you order directly from the Photopass online account and you get the pictures that you've edited to add borders/icons/signatures. You get all of the pictures in the account on the CD and they'll send multiple CD's if needed for the same price.

Instead of ordering the CD, I created the Photopass scrapbook online. It was around $80 and I could upload my own pictures plus use the Photopass pictures. I think it's cheaper if you don't upload your own pictures. The quality of the photo album is very good, and it was the first scrapbook I ever completed.

Yup, 5x7 prints are $12.95, same cost as a ride photo in the parks.

And yup, the PhotoPass CD costs $124.95, and includes all photos in your PhotoPass account, including those you cropped and added gaphics or borders to.

Must have bumped the cost of photopass CD up for the summer because it was $129.95 at Downtown Disney just before I left June 28th. They were running a special 3 or more 5 x 7's for $9.99 each. I don't know if that's still on or not...

So, you can add your own borders, images and siggys when you look at your pictures online? That is great! Does it limit how many you can do?

TIA!

There's no limit on the number of copies of edited pictures you can make. You can have an unlimited number of pictures in an online Photopass account, and they'll all be sent to you on as many CD's as it takes if you order the CD. Note that the borders/icons/sigs are more limited on-line compared to what's available in the parks. There will be 4 options for editing each picture, and it depends on where the picture was taken as to what options show up. Have fun! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info......but another question.

Is it better to buy the CD online once you return home and have time to edit and crop or just buy the CD at the parks? Is it the same price at the park and online?

THANKS!!!

How and where do you edit your photopass pics at the parks?

Checks, edits, and purchases can be made at the PhotoPass viewing stations at:

  • Camera centers at each of the four theme parks
  • Both water parks
  • Downtown Disney Marketplace
  • M. Mouse Mercantile at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Somewhere on the DIS I saw pic with characters superimposed into the pics of guests? Is that part of the Photopass? The pics I saw where Stitch sitting eating and Ice Cream, Hook, And Baby Simba in the guests arems.

There are a bunch of these that are put into your pics automatically by the PhotoPass system (unfortunately I don't have a complete list.)

The PhotoPass photographers will pose you for these, and the characters will be added automatically before you even view your pics.

Some that I have seen include Stitch coming out of a 'hole' in the ground in front of the Guests, Stitch coming out of a hat that the photographer hands to the Guests, Tinkerbell standing in Guests' hands, hitchhiking ghost sitting on the carriage in front of HM (very cool looking), an recently I saw one with a kid posed with a plastic sword and Captain Hook superimposed to look like he was dueling with the kid (that one was also very cool.)
