DVC discount on AP?

I have an unused 8 day PH ticket. I'd like to put it towards buying an AP. Is it possible to do this, and still get the DVC discount on the AP? How much is the DVC discount? To do this, could I just go to the Concierge at the resort when I check in?

Yes you should be able to do this. You do have to do it at a guest relations desk at DTD or one of the parks. They will calculate the value of your ticket and apply that amount to the price of your DVCAP. Not sure what the current price is, maybe $330ish for adult regular AP. (We always renew.) I had CM vouchers for APs that I was holding before becoming a DVC member and used them towards my APs and they refunded me the difference. Most recently (April 08) my hubby applied a one day ticket (the base ticket you have to buy during free ddp last summer) towards his renewal and it was no problem. They applied the $71 towards the price and he (me) had to pay the difference which was $200+.

My mom just purchased her's about 2wks ago and she paid $355.00 + tax for her DVC AP.

Current DVC members guide indicates $334 (>10 yrs) $294 (ages 3-9) plus tax for AP. Have they increased the price?
