Any thoughts on the Garden Grill? One of my girlfriends went and loved it but I havent' heard too much about it on this. Any comments appreciated!!

I've heard good things recently. We're having dinner here for the first time on our trip which begins next week! The only experience we've had at the GG was the Ice Cream Social which sadly, they no longer offer.

We have been here 2 times. The first time we went we loved it the second it was so so, I know we are not going to go there when we are there in August and I am not sure that we would go again. The food is ok. The second time we went it was empty so we got a lot of character interaction.

We wnt at the beg of May and the character interaction was awesome. Farmer Mickey Pluot Chip and Dale. I had read many bad reviews before we went and was very surprised about how much we like the food. the kids get to decorate their own cupcake for dessert!

We ate there on Memorial Day. The kids loved it. The character interaction is wonderful but the food is just average.

This is my old post from a different thread about garden grill:
My first and only character meal, so I can't really compare it to others...but I was extremely pleased. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto all visited at least 3 times each. Mickey danced with me, Chip had the hots for my friends mom, and at one point, Pluto stole my salt and sugar holder and we chased him around the restaurant trying to get it. Afterward, he felt bad and stole the holders from other tables and put them all on our table. We got a kick out of that(Pluto is a real kick at the restaurant, isn't he?). Really fun, Dale sat down with us at one point to take pictures and admire the meal. The meal? We loved it, the veggies were fresh, the potatoes were delicious. It was crowded that day, and our server seemed stressed, but he was still very polite and brought our food quickly. A delicious dessert. The scenery change added to the fun. Really just an all around awesome experience. On a VERY busy day, we got great service, great character interaction, great food, and a clean restaurant.

There is another thread on the Garden Grill from June 28 @ 7:02pm named "Is the Garden Grill Gross?" you mught read it as there are some great comments there that might help you decide. We are going in Dec and have a lunch ADR and I feel real good about the choice after reading the other thread

Isn't the Garden Grill next to Soarin'? We haven't ever eaten there but we might this next trip.

It is upstairs from Soarin'.

We love this place! The food has always been so fresh and very tasty! The character action has been some of the best we've experienced at a character meal. We can't wait to bring our son/daughter...in at least two years We vote yes for Garden Grill!
