What delivery service is better, Wegoshop or Garden Grocer???? Leaving next week and need to get organized!!! :flower3:

Although I have heard good reports about each of them, I have only had personal experience with gardengrocer. GG was great each of the 3 times we used them and we plan to use them again in October. The first time they forgot something we ordered but it was delivered to bell services within an hour after they made the first delivery. The last two times we even asked for our favorite wine and they found it for us!!!!!!

I just recently purchased into the DVC and was wondering the same thing. I was looking around the garden grocer website. Where do they make the delivery? Do they bring it right to your room?

We just returned yesterday and Marge at Wegoshop did a great job. Delivered the groceries to the Bell Desk where the put the cold stuff in the fridge and we arranged a 'paid out' and the cost was put on our room account.

She got just what I asked for and was very conscientious calling to make sure all our bags had arrived. Had the bell men bring it up to the room with our luggage.

We'd use her service again in a heart beat!

We love garden grocer but the only thing to remember is to book well in advance because their time slots fill up pretty quickly. We are going in 23 days and I booked garden grocer last month. :cheer2:

If you are in your room, they will bring it there. Otherwise, they can deliver it to bell services.

I always wondered how to do this. We've never done it before and are going to next year for our stay, hopefully at AKL, after our cruise.

Okay, lets say I want Yoplait Light & Fit Yogurt for instance. All they have posted on the website is Strawberry. They have to have other flavors at the grocery store. Can I just put what flavors I want in the notes section?

Better decide soon. We have used Goodings and GardenGrocer. Goodings was more expensive but the service was excellent. GG the price was a little better but there were mistakes on our order and it took three days and several phone calls to fix. In addition to any delivery fees, all products have inflated prices. Some of the delivered items from GG still had the stores price tag and I noticed a couple of dollars difference on some of the items.

For our Dec trip I think that we will rent a car for a couple of days. We can shop at Super Wal-Mart, get a small Christmas tree and some decorations, eat off property and check out the other shops.

 What we should do is schedule a DIS car pool to the store. One person from four families, split the car rental, and you pay the same as a delivery charge.

Yes!

We rented a car for our first day on our last trip to WDW in May so we could go to Citywalk and decided we'd get our own groceries. After checking our receipts with GG's website, we really didn't save much more than our delivery fee & tip--maybe an extra $5. Plus the Publix we went to, didn't have the wine we wanted so we had to make another stop at a liquor store. It isn't worth it to me to save $20 and spend almost 2 hours of my vacation time grocery shopping which is something I don't even like to do at home!

We have used GardenGrocer and found them to provide excellent service. We had a mixture of room temp, fridge, and freezer items and it all arrived in perfect condition. The produce was amazing too! We are tweaking the grocery cart right now for our upcoming trip. Maggie

Need to get organized????? No ro80, you need to get your mousetail to the Pavilion for a PART A. I'm stuck making sausage and peppers this morning and you're playing on Disboards! Nice.:3dglasses

We used Garden Grocer in January and everything went just as planned. They showed up just as we were waiting for a bellhop to drive us to our room over in Congress Park. Everything we ordered was there and the fruits were of good quality. I know that on their website they have been unable to take orders in recent weeks because they had already received all the orders they could fill with time and manpower. So you definitely need to check the website and see if they have a note regarding the delivery date you want. If there is no note, I would put in your order immediately. And also, if there is something you want/need and don't see it offered on their website you can put your request in the comments section when you place your order and they will get that item for you.

I used wegoshop this past December for the first time. I normally shop for myself but we had a big group with big plans so we decided to try their service.

I chose wegoshop over Garden Grocer because GG charges more (their own price) for the groceries plus adds on a delivery fee. WGS just brings the register receipt and then tacks on the delivery fee.

The one thing that put me off on WGS was that the owner and her husband shopped and delivered our order. Then they made sure to let me know I should add a tip of 10-15% of the total on top of their delivery charge. Really left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't even get the brands I wanted even though I checked off "no substitutions."

I think I'll try GG next time for comparison or just drive over myself.

We have used wegoshop.com 4 times and have been very pleased with their service. We received everything we asked for. They were on time for the scheduled delivery. I did not feel any pressure to tip from them, although we did tip.
One thing to note is that there is a surcharge to use a credit card. We brought a check and paid by check to avoid that charge.
We definitely saved the delivery charge over shopping on property.
We will use them again in October.

I've used wegoshop twice and was very pleased. The orders were complete and delivered timely. They called me from the store to ask about acceptable substitutions. On the second trip I forgot my son's stroller. :scared: :scared1: I called Marge when we arrived and she made a special stop at Cosco and bought us a nice, sturdy $40.00 stroller which she delivered with the groceries. It was such a relief! That effort / service was impressive. We always bring a check to pay the bill.

We used www.gardengrocer.com for the first time this past trip on June 9th. I submitted my grocery order on June 7th and scheduled a delivery time availabilty of 12pm-2pm. We reached the BWV by 1pm. I checked with Bell Services and our groceries were just delivered. Our room was ready at check-in and Bell Services delivered the groceries to our room.

We will use them again for future stays. :hippie:

We do not decide on what groceries to buy until the last moment, as we are viewing the grocery items in the supermarket. In this scenario, the grocery services would not fit our needs.

The down side is that if one wants to go to the grocery store (ie Goodings mentioned above) from a DVC resort, one either needs to rent a car, or one would need to go to the supermarket by taxi. I would presume that no Disney transportation is available for those who want to go from WDW to such (off WDW site) supermarkets.
