My daughters favorite princess is Arial? Where can we find her. Is she at the royal table or the storybook princess at Epcot? Any info would help Thanks Chrisprincess:

We went to the Norway Princess Breakfast in Oct and we saw Ariel there in her sea green gown...she was wonderful with my 3 year old niece...who is the biggest fan ever!

I asked this yesterday and was told the Grotto & the Norway meal (sometimes and sometimes not).

My dd is an Ariel fan too! :cutie:

She was not at CRT last year. From the sounds of it, she isn't there.

I took my DD6 to the Norway breakfast a month ago and Ariel was not there. :sad1:

From what I've read on these boards, you have a better chance of seeing Ariel at the Norway princess meal if you do lunch or dinner.

But, of course, no princess is guaranteed...

My red-haired princess saw her at the Grotto and at the Norway lunch.

But the best encounter was at the Spectromagic parade. DD6 was tired and wanted to leave until she actually saw the floats and started waving at Mickey. Ariel saw her from her float, pointed at my DD's red hair, waved and stroked her own hair. My DD was beside herself: "She remembered me from earlier in the grotto!"

Highlight of the trip.

If Ariel is your dd's favorite, then definately go to her Grotto in the MK!!! I took my dd there on the 11th. It was a bit of a wait, but definately worth it! She got some great one on one with Ariel, she asked her what food she ate, got her autograph, pics, and hugs. We didn't feel rushed. I recorded it, it was one of dd's favorite things about the trip. There was also a photopass photographer there.

Ariel's Grotto at MK

The Disney parade's at MK and MGM

At the Princess lunch and dinner at Epcot's Norway....although not guaranteed. We saw her for two lunches in a row.

Belle in her yellow gown replaces her at Breakfast...although not guaranteed.

That's about it.

I was also told Cinderella was never at Akerhaus.

Last year we had lunch, Ariel was the greeter in her blue dress, all the princesses including cinderella came around to each table and said hello, took a picture, ect ect. My neice, was hysterical - her absolute favorite is Ariel too... she has that mermaid outfit they only sell at MGM. The year before her mom figured she could get it somewhere else, and she couldnt, so it was the first thing they did after checking in... go get the mermaid outfit!

Enjoy!

Other than in the parades we have never scene Ariel. Not at a Character Dinner and no where in the park. I do know she is in the Magic Kingdom, but waiting an hour to get to meet her is just not my cup of tea. Now if my girls asked then I'd be standing there with everyone else, but my oldest always says Dad we can ride a bunch of rides during that time. :thumbsup2

As other posters stated, she can always be found at the Grotto in MK. This is where she is a mermaid. She is also in some parades. At Akerhus, I believe she is usually there in human form at lunch and dinner but no guarantees. She was not at CRT though many other princesses were when we went there for breakfast. A lot of princesses meet and greet at MGM but no Ariel there either (though we did find my daughter's favorite Mulan).

I did not want to wait in line an hour either to see Ariel. My tip is to get there early. We had a breakfast reservation at CRT and got to MK at rope drop although our reservation was a little later. I made a beeline for the Grotto. On the way, we ran into Aurora (sleeping Beauty) and Prince Phillip at the backside of the castle. After getting pics and autographs with them, we went to the grotto. Although it was not open yet according to the times listed, Ariel was already there and meeting kids. We waited in line maybe five minutes to see her. She spent quite a bit of time with my DD and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Needless to say that was a highlight - all day long CM's asked her who kissed her cheek.

Good luck!

Go to the Grotto! The wait is worth it. Ariel was wonderful with my DD. She sneaked a peek in the front of my DD's autograph book and called her by name. DD was amazed. Then she gave DD a "mermaid" name. DD still talks about it!

We had dinner in Norway, it was Belle in yellow gown as greeter, Jasmine, Aurora, Alice and Cinderella. You just never know who you are going to get so don't count on a meal for any particular princess.

what i love about ariel in the grotto is that she has her dinglehopper. even got her to use it on the kid i took to see her last time.

and yes, walked right in to see ariel, then was on dumbo 5 mins later and rode the carousel twice. that all that was after waking up tink too. what a morning.

but yes, those are the only places you'll catch her. either full time in the grotto in fantasyland at MK or possibly at akershus in human form, generally lunch and dinner, but no guarantees there

Being a huge little mermaid fan myself (21's not too old, right? lol!) I was really hoping for Ariel to be at Norway. We went for breakfast and had Belle as the greeter, Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, and Mulan. The wait for the grotto at the MK is long, but definitly worth it if you are dealing with a mermaid fan!

We had lunch with Ariel in Norway Sept. 2004. Also present was Cinderella-which was a nice surprise. At that meal we also had Belle, Jasmine, and Aurora. That trip DD wore her Ariel dress so she was very happy to see her! :goodvibes

Later that same trip we saw the same Cinderella at PF and she recognized my DD (then 5).

We also say Ariel in the Judge's Tent back in Sept. 2004. I remember that because I had her sign a birthday card I had for my DD and one of the CMs kept her busy while Ariel signed it. I don't know if she still appears in TT, since she has her own grotto now.

HTH! Have fun! :wizard:

Thank you all for the great ideas. I did call and was told she is at the Norway in Epcot for lunch and dinner only. I was able to get a reservation for dinner. I hope it turns out to be a wonderful time. Thanks again, Chris:banana:
