Bottled Water ...

I am a Disneyland vet and will be taking my first trip to WDW :woohoo: ... The trip is just my BF and myself ... I'm scratching my head has to how many bottles of water we will need for a 12 day stay ...

My BF thinks 30 will do ... I only drink bottled water ... no soda, tea, juice, coffee etc. ... call me insane if you'd like ... :lmao:

I know I will go through at least 2 bottles a day BUT I don't know if the Florida heat will make me drink a lot more than normal ... I don't want to have too many bottles but I don't want to run out either ...

Therefore ...

How much water do you get for your length of stay for the number of people in your party?

Also, just out of curiosity ... do you ship it to your resort, have a place like GardenGrocers deliver it, make a run to the nearest store, etc.?

I plan on using GG, myself :)

We take 4 drinks per person per day. we usually do juice/ milk with bf, then 2-3 waters during the day (we take the 20oz bottles), then usually a pop at night.
so if you are only drinking bottled water, I would plan on 3 waters per day for you and 1 for bf, totaling 48 for your stay.

We just got back and 4 of us went through about 70ish bottles of water in 10 days. We only took one to the parks each day and just had them refilled. So, we actually ended up drinking a lot of water. That was also all that the four of us drank, though. I never would have guessed we would have went through that much, so I would get a little more than you think you'll need. We would usually down a whole bottle the second we walked back in the room after being outside.

Minimum you need 64 ounces of water a day (roughly 4 "1/2 liter" bottles of water). In FL, I would at least plan for 96 ounces of water ( 6 "1/2 liter" bottles). In summer, I'd plan 128 ounces (8 "1/2 liter" bottles of water).

When we last went, we packed one bottle per person (each day), then packed the Crystal light packets to add to the bottles when we refilled them at the water fountains. That way it disguised the taste from the water fountain and we didn't have to carry so many water bottles.

We bought water bottles with a filter for $30 each before we went and just kept refilling them at the water fountains. This may be cheaper for you and really worked well for us.

you will need more water than you relalize.... I'd say 5-6 bottles per day in the summer; it is very dehydrating.

I stopped carrying a water bottle altogether when I found out that you can ask for a free cup of ice water at any CS restaurant (you don't have to purchase anything!).

If you do like the convenience of carrying a bottle with you (I don't like to lug a heavy bottle around), you can refill one bottle with the ice water from your cup.

2 adults, 1 teen, about 7 days, summer, shipped two cases of I think 30-45 bottles each.
We had about 8-10 left over and just left them when we checked out. Hopefully someone took or it was tossed, either way, well worth it for us. My DH refuses to even brush his teeth without bottled:rotfl2: water LOL

If you're going to be drinking a lot of water, another option is to run out to Target and buy 1 or 2 of the 32 oz hard plastic Eddie Bauer bottles. They keep things better insulated, plus they can be clipped onto a bag with a caliber clip.

Then order gallons of bottled water, fill up the bottles, slip them on the top shelf of the hotel room fridge, and you have water to get you through the day. :thumbsup2

I use this system everyday for work and it works perfectly. It just makes life 8 times easier.

Just a note. We used the filtered water bottles before and it still doesn't remove the taste of the water. Best bet is to filter the water and add a drink mix to hide the taste

Here's our plan, don't know if it'll help you.

We're driving down, so I bought two cases of 32 bottles of water from our local discount megamart (64 half litre bottles for $9!!!). We're each going to take a frozen water bottle with us every morning, and after we drink that refill them as necessary with drinking fountain water. I bought like 4 boxes of those KoolAid Mixer things ($1.99 with a dollar off coupon, so they were a dollar a box!) since I've heard that WDW water can taste funny. Not so worried about us, I know I at least will drink pretty much anything when it's hot out, but I want to make sure the girls stay hydrated.
