I want to plan a vacation to VB or HHI and this will be my first time going to either. What is the average amount of days that most families stay, I am seeing alot of people who stay for at least 3 days.

When I go to WDW I can stay forever but then again there is more to do. I am also thinking of going to VB first then WDW.

We bought enough points at HH to stay 5 nights in a 2 BR each summer, so that is usually how long we stay. We are also from MI and drive when we go to HH, so we take our time driving down the weekend before, and drive back on the weekend following our stay.

We have only stayed at VB once for a 1 night stay before our cruise. I would like to spend 3 - 5 days there someday, but haven't done so yet.

We stay for 7 or 8 days at VB - sooo relaxing! We usually just stay for 5 days at HHI because we just live up the road and can do similar things at home! Still love HHI though!:)

For us it's 3 nights at a time at VB. This year we've had 2 3 night visits, and it will probably be the same next year.

We've done both for nine days each.

Spending that amount of time really allowed us to enjoy these laid back, "not-in-your-face" versions of Disney (ergo, a vacation 100% different than the hustle-bustle WDW variant). Particularly at HHI, it also enabled us to enjoy the local off-property attractions at a very relaxed pace.

At Vero, it also allowed us to chuckle at all the people rushing through a few days at Vero as an appendage to a WDW visit, which is the beaten path approach to that resort. We didn't feel compelled to rush around the resort they way "they" did, or to cram Shutters on the first night, or miss the opportunity to explore the beach far up and down from the resort.

I'll say 2 nights wasn't enough, but I did enjoy it at the end of our WDW trip so we could unwind and relax before flying back home.

We have never stayed over 4 days at HHI, but let me say I love it there. Its because I spread out my vacation days. Always 8 days WDW 3or 4 HHI And 4 day cruise 3 day park, my last week we travel some where diff Grand Canyon ETC. I get 4 weeks so its like this most of the time.

We stay at HHI for 6 days/5 nights. To me, it is NOT worth anything to stay somewhere for 2 nights after driving 5-6 hrs. Not worth it to me. After 6 days, that is about enough sun/sand for me, but others may disagree.

P.S. never been to VB..

Our normal VB visit is four nights, but we may shoot for five in the future. That's because day 1 is shot from travel and 4pm check in, and the last day we leave early for WDW.

Four FULL days would be perfect in my opinion.. :smokin:

We usually do at least 7 nights at HH for the 4th of July. This year, we were able to swing 8 nights! I think our record is 9 or 10, but even THAT wasn't long enough for us. ;)

We also stay at HH for 5 nights over Thanksgiving. Also not long enough.

There are so many things to do, both at the resort and nearby, but our favorite is sitting on the porch (preferably with a marsh view) and relaxing...

I'll be there in 48 hours! Woo hoo!!!

:woohoo:

We like to spend anywhere from 5-10 nights at VB each summer. This year due to circumstances beyond my control I was not able to book at the 7 month window and booked at the 6 month window and I only got 2 nights in a 2 bedroom. We could have had 2 studios or 2 inn rooms but we enjoy the amentities of the 2 bedroom villas. So it broke my heart to stay 2 nights after 14 in Disney. We added to the Disney portion since we were unable to get a minium of 5 at VB. Next summer we are aiming for 10 nights at VB we already ahve our calendars marked at the 7 month window and will call day by day for that 2 bedroom. We love it. Laid back for us and abundance of activites for the teens and for the younger set. Love it!!!!!!!!

We did 5 nights last year in 2 OVIRs. Next year we are going for another 5 in a BC! 5 nights was good, 6 might be a little better.

Beach Cottage :cloud9: Someday I'm going to stay in one. Buy that extra night. Who knows when you'll get to do it again. (Don't tell me every year).

No not every year! .....Every Other!!!

That is if I keep it to 5 nights. That 6th night would be a whole years worth of points! We could do an inn room... or cash...???
