Long questions on ressies and borrowing/transferring, etc.

We're changing our ressie from September to October. We'll also need 7 nights instead of 4 (was doing 3 nights free dining in September).

So we'll need more points, we will either borrow from 2008 or try to get a transfer (already posted a points transfer wanted on the rent/trade board).

I haven't been able to check availability since computers are down, and now I'm on a call for work so still can't call to check.

2 sets of questions:
If I borrow the points I need, but am able to get a transfer --> Would I then be able to bank the transferred points? If so, what are the banking windows for the borrowed points -- I assume they follow the original use year of the transferred points, but using what total for percentage? We have 200 points total. So if I transferred 100 points, say, with a December use year, how much would I be able to transfer by August? 50% of what? and in September? 25 % of what?

If I get a ressie for OKW or SSR, waitlist for VWL and miraculously get VWL, will they automatically borrow from my 2008 points to cover the additional points for the VWL ressie?

Yes.

My understanding is that none of the percentages apply - you will be able to bank the entire amount of the transfer. Do verify that with MS before you accept the transfer.
