The series of books that has been on New York Times Best seller list for years. I just finished the last book of the series, well besides the prequel which is coming in the fall. And this fall is also the release of the Gossip Girl tv series based on the book series. This is my favorite book series and I can't wait for the tv series. Who else has read this books and is waiting anxiously for the TV series?

I'm about halfway through the series. I just put the rest of the books on hold, and I'm so excited for the series! I saw the person they cast as Nate, though, and I'm a little worried... he doesn't look very Nate-ish. :p

I've read the first and the last.
I'm in love with Dan.

But I absolutely hate how the It Girl book came out AGES ago, and this Gossip Girl book only came a month ago, and that's when Jenny leaves.

OMG!! I know! He is deffinately not what I pictured. If you ever saw Beautiful People, the boy in that is what I pictured as Nate. I don't remember the actors name, but I'll look it up and tell you.

I picture Nate as a younger Adrian Grenier, with freckles.
Funny thing is, he played Nate in DWP.

After the first couple of books I stopped reading about Dan and Vanessa, I just skip to Blair, Serena, and Nate. And I read all the It Girl books too, and I believe the two series where written by two different people, so that is why the events don't exactly match up. But the It Girl books are really good too.

Oh and I don't think the character for Blair in the tv series is the kind of character they portrayed in the books well atleast from what I have seen.

Blake Lively is too old for the role of Serena in my opinion.

I looked for them at the local library and couldn't find them. I really want to read them, though.

I think Blake Lively is perfect for the role, she is exactly what I pictured as Serena.

You can get the books at Amazon.com

I've read all the books (Gossip Girls, and The IT Girl). Then I heard about the tv show and I was so excited! Then my best friend and I looked it up online and saw like a 15 minute trailer...ehhh it dosen't look so good actually. The books seem to be MUCH better.
