? about balance of pkg due at 45 days

My SIL asked me what would happen if she were unable to pay the balance of her package right at the 45 day mark. Do they allow you any leeway or do they automatically cancel your reservations?

She has a bonus coming several days after the 45 day mark that she would like to use to pay off the balance but she didn't know what the results would be.

Does anyone know or know who I could ask?

From what I heard, if you don't have it paid in full on the 45 day mark it's cancelled - I don't know for sure - never had this happen. Maybe call CRO and talk to them about the issue - maybe they can help

last year I only had $100 left owded on my package and needed a couple of days and was told no that the computer would automaticly cancel it that there was nothing that they could do. So i just paid it. But it could be true or they could be telling us that to scare us so we pay. i don't know, but before you get to the 45 day mark call and ask to speak with a manager and they might be able to help you. This trip i didnt want to chance it so i paid my trip off a month early. Good Luck.

Maybe she cpould pay with a credit card til she gets her bonus then pay the credit card company the money she gets with her bonus.

It actually cancels at the 30 day mark not the 45. I actually just paid our vacation off today and called and had a conversation with them about it last week because we had a good rate booked and did not want to lose it. We went to the state park near us and I have no service there so I was concerned about paying it off on the day that I was supposed to. I was told by several CM's it will cancel on the 30 day mark not the 45. The send you a letter on the 44th day out to say you forgot about us and give you time to respond. She should be fine.

Monday, I told the AAA TA to pay the final payment...Guess What...THEY DONT WANT IT! WDW told her that I can pay the final payment when I register the day I arrive!


I called WDW to confirm this...and indeed they said...No need to pay off the balance at the 45 day mark...Just pay when you come to your resort! I even called back later, and was told the same thing!

I didnt ask if this was a NEW policy! But I tried 3 times to pay ...and NO ONE WANTS MY $$$$$!

DISUNC so you think it is because it is room only? I thought room only ressies had a better cancellation/pay off policy (i.e. gives you more time to pay it) than a package?

That is funny to think about Disney not wanting your money though, that would be a first!

Someone else just confirmed that on another thread....ROOM ONLY's rezzies Pay at the resort on check in! Never knew that!

Hi, we had an issue with a nephew going or not going a year ago. We contacted our AAA TA and explained our problem, we were told we had until 30 days prior to our arriving. (he ended up going)

The reason was to get our documents and info from WDW to the AAA TA and then to us. We had the full package, room, tickets etc...

I paid at the 40 day mark in January, and was told they say 45 so that all payments make it in before the 30 day mark

I guess it must just be one of those "it depends on what CM you get" kind of situations. I just called to double check my balance and was told I must make my final payment no later then the 45 day mark , which for me is July 7th. I only owe $150 left on my vacation so it's not big deal , but I'm just holding out because I may have to cancel one person from our party that may not get the time off work

DISUNC, when we did a split stay last Sept, the second half of our ressie was room only. I wanted to go ahead and pay everything off ahead of time, however, so that it would not be a worry when we arrived (And so BF would not know the real cost ). Anyway, I had to call CRO FOUR TIMES to get someone to allow me to pay off early! I could not believe they wouldn't just take the darn money!
