A question about DVC

I was just wondering if when you go see a presentation do you get anything for going (like when going to view places such as westgate you get discounted tickets)?

When I took a look at the dvc they didnt give us anything but info. We didnt care for the price or the terms...so we bought at Bonnet Creek which you have to actually enter into the dw gates in order to get to. It is just down from Downtown disney. We love it. If you are considering buying you may want to look at Bonnet Creek. And they do give you goodies for your time..

Yes they do give goodies. When we went they were giving some special fastpasses. We got 6 of them. With them, you could put them in the fast pass machines and get fastpasses that were immediately useable. Each card was good for 3 fastpasses so we got a total of 18 instant fastpasses.

If we'd been staying on property we could have had $15 gift cards for each person in our party. The gift cards were for use in Disney parks or DTD and could be used in the shops or restaurants.

No we didn't purchase at that time. Last December we went again and I think it was only $45.00. The gift changes with the season and selling status. If things are slow, the gift value increases. If they are really busy, or you have been there before, the value decreases. No different than most businesses that are in the business of selling.

At the end of our presentation in May 2006, the guide handed us a $50.00 Disney gift card. (We did end up buying into DVC a few months later).

When we went on our trip last Oct., each of us in the party (there were 3) got the fastpass cards that got us 3 immediate fastpasses and at the end of the presentation, we got free small dishes of ice cream - none of us did the DVC at the time, but I was sold and if I had the extra cash, I'd have done it in a heartbeat !!! Have a great time.

Back in 1997, when we took the tour we were given a free lunch at Olivia's at Old Key West and they picked us up from the Poly and drove us there as well as to the Boardwalk for the tour. Then gave us a bunch of goodies.

I did the tour last year (september) and bought in to DVc and got nothing

We (me and DBF) did the presentation/tour in May this year and were given the DVC fastpass card (one each). It was really great to see the tour and our guide (who looks after UK people) was lovely. We got a bag with the DVC book and loads of info...

We didn't buy when we were there but are currently sorting out to purchase into the DVC in the next few months....

When we went in October we got 2 $15 gift cards and ice cream at the end of the presentation. We didn't buy but man would I love to!

Ooh yes - the visit to the ice-cream parlour at the end too - scrummy!!

And I forgot to mention that they were happy to drop us back at any park/resort we needed - they collected us from DTD and we were dropped back at MK....

When we went to our presentation we received a $100 gift card. Which we blew right threw at one of the stores in DTD!

It also depends on what promos are being offered. When I went back in 2001- It was a meal for your party at any Boardwalk restaurant and a couple of trading pins. I ended up buying and then got a tote bag full of goodies.

About how long are the presentations?

About a hour and they pick you up and take you anywhere you want to go on Disney property.

The DVC cm's say that it's about an hour, but when we were there in Oct., we were probably there for about an hour and a half - 2 hrs. I didn't think it was too bad and then they were happy to bring us anywhere we wanted - we were on our way to MGM and it started to pour and as we were at the gate the driver asked us if we wanted to go back to our resort, but we really wanted to stay and ride ot out and luckily it was only a quick passing storm.
