I don't read too much about the Plaza. I am looking for another TS at MK. Is The Plaza worth using a TS for?

They don't have a big variety, but they do have excellent sandwiches and ice cream. Have you thought about LTT for lunch? They have a great menu.

I think I was looking more for dinner. I am afraid that I will be so busy I would miss a lunch ADR. I was looking at LTT for dinner but we are arriving 10 days after Thanksgiving. Is LTT too much like Thanksgiving dinner? Or are their a few choices other than turkey?

I don't think that the Plaza is a good choice for a TS credit, but love the place. Their lunch and dinner menu are the same, mostly sandwiches. There is a nice variety to the lunch menu at LTT and it's not a character meal, nor buffet. But I would suggest if you want dinner, why not hop the resort monorail and zip over to the Concourse at the Contemporary or Kona Cafe at the Poly, of the GF Cafe at the GF and have a nice early dinner and when you're done, grab the resort monorail and go back to MK. The family gets a nice treat of riding the monorail, it's barely 10 minutes away, and you're get a better meal in a more relaxing setting.

BTW--I noticed your trip is December, but visiting the other resorts, you'll also get to see how they are decorated for the holidays...

I love The Plaza (the potato salad is so good), but I would pay OOP for it. The meals aren't that much at all (more on par with CS). However, if you aren't worried about getting "the most bang for your buck" then use TS credits.

LTT for dinner is served family style and there is no menu. You are served on a platter - flank steak, turkey and ham. Plus the sides including macaroni and cheese. I think they also provide a dessert. Haven't done dinner there in many years because we enjoy lunch so much.

We always eat at lunch at the Plaza on our first day. It's our tradition and the atmosphere is good.

As far as using a DDP credit...we have been discussing that here at home.

I went to All Ears.com and looked that there menu. (for Lunch) IF I ordered the most expensive items Angus Burger, Bottle of water (Which is what I would normally have anyway) and a bannana split. That order would be $23.68. Add 18% tip at 4.26 and your up to 27.94. To be honest though don't know if I would eat a bannana split. It would depend how hungry I am that day.
Now add a CS dinner and you should be very close to the break even point. It is true though that the menu does not have the appetizers that other sit downs will have but that isn't that important to me for lunch.

Either way the Plaza is a nice place to eat.

personally - I think the Plaza is sooo not worth...they do not even have a restroom in house, you have to go down Main St.

We just ate there tonight. They had soup and salad offerings for appetizers.

The restroom is right next door to the Plaza. Go out the front door and turn right. There it is.

We "discovered" the Plaza some trips ago and I truly think it's a hidden gem in MK.:thumbsup2 we're on the DDE card, so it's a 20% discount. It has great food (see allearsnet.com for exact menu), a fabulous location (schedule your meal prior to the Fireworks at the Castle and you only have to walk a little bit) and great service. We do sandwiches and ice cream and couldn't be happier:banana:It's a higher level of counter service but sitting in AC and real china. we'll be dining there again in 2 weeks:woohoo:
