okay...my trip to Target...

went great!!! I am LOVING the deals!!! Here is a rundown of my purchases today:

1st order:

big bag of Lays chips $1.75
big bag of Lays chips $1.75
4-12 packs of Pepsi $11.00

-$5.50 in Target coupons so my total was only $9.00!!


2nd order:

3 Things out of dollar bins $3.00
2 packages of Dora bday 9" plates $2.36
1 package of Dora bday 7" plates $1.11
Dora bday table cover $1.88 (Dora bday stuff was on clearance so I picked it up for my DDs 4th bday)
2-8 packs of Bounty papertowels $20.00

-$8.00 in Target coupons
-.25 in Man. coupons
-$2.89 that I had on a gift card
TOTAL: $18.53 PLUS I have a $5 gift card to use there at some other time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I went to Target this evening also.

I got
6 12-pks of Pepsi products
2 16-pks of Charmin
2 pints of Haagen-Dazs ice cream
2 Kraft shredded cheese (used Target coupon and manuf. coupon)

Used the $5 off coupon for the Charmin
Got a $5 gift card for purchasing the Charmin
Used a $5 gift card from a few weeks back

The only stinky thing is that my Target won't allow you to use more than one Target coupon per product purchased, so we had to ring up all of my sodas, cheese, and the Haagen-Dazs seperately. Luckily, I had a very easy going cashier and it was right before closing, so it wasn't busy at all.

Are you saying that they will only let you use one Pepsi coupon per order and the cashier had to ring up each 12 pack separately? If so, I'd email the corporate office. I don't think that's their policy and they'll probably make the store change it if enough people complain.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. So my first transaction was for one package of Kraft shredded cheese, one ice cream, one pepsi, and two packages of Charmin. I was able to use one Kraft cheese coupon, one ice cream coupon, one pepsi coupon, and the $5 off $20 coupon and a manuf. coupon.

Then my second transaction was for one ice cream, one Kraft shredded cheese, and one pepsi. I was able to use one ice cream coupon, one Kraft cheese coupon, and one pepsi coupon.

My third through sixth transactions were each for one pepsi product each and I used one pepsi coupon in each transaction.

The cashier called the manager over and the manager said I could only use one target coupon of each kind in a single transaction (couldn't use 2 pepsi coupons in a single transaction, etc.). I was able to use more than one target coupon, just not more than one of the same kind.

I did complain saying that if I had more than one manuf. coupon, I'd be allowed to use them. If Target thought that customers were abusing the system, then they should change their system.

I'm going to try to go back today for the Bounty paper towels deal, but I don't think they'll let me use two of the Bounty coupons in one transaction, however, you have to buy two in one transaction to get the gift card.

Bummer they didn't let you do it the easy way. I used 8 pepsi coupons, plus many others--2 bounty, 2 Haagen Daz, 2 salad, 2 raspberries, 2 cheetos, 2 doritos, etc....all on one transaction! I got about $85 worth of stuff for $45. It was a good day! Thanks to whoever posted the info yesterday--I would never have known otherwise

Yay!

I always scope out the checkout people and go to the young HS boys. They don't seem to care about coupons!! Don't go to older ladies!! They scrutinize every word on the coupons. Just my experience.

I was able to use all my target coupons in one transaction.

I spent a total of $37 and got:

2 - 8 rolls (Actually they were 8=12 so like a roll and a 1/2 per roll?) Packs

$1.50 off EACH package of Paper towels - and had a $5 off $20 in bounty product purchase - they were on sale for $10 each. SInce I bought 2 of them, the register prompted the cashier to give me a $5 gift card, too, which I used to buy the tissues since I forgot my manufacture's coupon. I ended up paying $1.13 for the Tissues. and $12 for both packs of BOunty - 16 Rolls (24 roll equivilent)

50 cents off the Chex Mix (83 cents after coupons)
$1 off EACH pack of Soda - $1.75 plus .60 in depostits Per 12 pack
75 cents off each bottle of Ketchup on sale 3/$5 - 91 cents each
50 cents off Rice A Roni - $.49 each
75 cents off 8oz or more Kraft cheese - $1.54 each
I also got a pack of napkins that I paid reg price for.

I forgot my ice cream, but it was OK since it is blazing hot today and I didn't have enough time to stop home before I had to pick up the kids from school, then get my middle child to the docs.

The "one per purchase" thing gets me.

A purchase is an item.

A transaction is the entire order.

One coupon per purchase means you cannot use more than one like coupon on an item (who does that anyway?!).

One coupon per transaction means you cannot use more than one like coupon for the entire order.

I had a cashier try to tell me I can't use more than one formula check for my order because it says one per purchase. I was purchasing 2 formulas and had 2 checks. I explained the transaction thing to her. She had a HUGE chip on her shoulder and said whoever has done that for me in the past has done it WRONG. She acted like the money was coming out of her pocket. Ultimately she took both checks. I hate it when cashiers try to make up their own rules or don't understand the rules.

When someone is rude or just plain stupid, I always write down their name and email the corporate office, whether it be at Target or anywhere else. I don't always get a satisfactory response, but at least I feel better.

Corporations need to know when their employees do the wrong thing. If they are a good company, they'll take corrective action. If not, I know to take my business elsewhere.

My SIL and I went to Target today with 10 pepsi coupons in hand and they let us use all 10 on one order

I did the cheese, ice cream, bounty towels, rice a roni, and frito lays. Unfortuanly we don't drink pepsi products or I would have stocked up on those.

I did stumble on thier market pantry fruit snacks (we love the grape) marked down to 1.06 and they had 1lb packages of hamburger meat (80/20) reduced to 1.55. So I stocked up on some hamburger.

Picked up some other stuff that we needed, but I'm going to go back for some chips and now that I look at it, maybe some strawberries.

Been awhile since Target had any really good deals....think they wised up to us

Used 2 $5 coupons & 4 $1.50 coupons = $16 off

But here's the kicker...I received 2 $10 giftcards and 2 $5 giftcards, so for $53.98 I got two video games and 32 giant rolls of paper towels!!!

I went back later and bought some Pepsi, ketchup, Cheetos, Chex Mix, etc. and the giftcards covered the entire amount.

Today I found the flushable toddler wipes in the pop-up box on clearance for 74 cents a piece !!

Also found the shorts that my son likes on clearance for $5.44 a pair, regular $9.99

And in the dollar section I found insulated travel mugs for you guessed it, $1.00!!! Will be taking those on my Alaskan cruise next month for hot chocolate, coffe, ice tea, etc. Also got these cool telescoping marshmellow roasting sticks for $1 each to add to my camping gear!
