If I stay 1 night at 1 resort and then switch to another for 3 nights, would I have credits for all 4 nights, or just the nights that I stay at the second resort? We are getting in so late and I want to try and save a little money by staying at a value the first night before moving to a deluxe. I have not booked yet and I am wondering if I will have to book room only for the first night.....

Only for the 3 nights at the second resort. You need to purchase a MYW package to get the DDP, and that requires a three-night stay and at least one ticket for all in the room.

If you make it as one reservation, I'd think all 4 nights would apply. I think you wouldn't get the 1st night if you made 2 separate reservations.

In order to have the dining plan you must have purchase a package which includes at least a 1 day base ticket for each person.

Since you will be getting in late the first night and not using any tickets, I would not worry about the dining plan for that night. I would go with the value resort on your first night and then move to the deluxe for your package including the dining plan.

So, if we need to add two nights at a different resort during free dining, we would have to purchase a separate ticket for each person in the room? My parents will be with us for 9 nights, so one of our 3 children will be in their room. If we stay extra nights by ourself, we would need to move to POR, thus requiring a split stay. If this is the case, maybe they will bring our a room only code for September.

to get dining you must have a package, meaning tickets must be purchased with each package.

Each resort is an entirely separate reservation and therefor to get dining at each resort you must purchase a package with tickets at each resort.

This does not change for free dining. Each and every hotel you stay in you will have to purchase tickets to get dining credits for those nights.

Op - if you are getting in late the first night and book a value to save, you will get 3 nights of credits that will start when you check in to your second hotel. To get your park tickets from your package you will have to check in to your hotel - before going to the park that second morning so all your credits will be available to you at that point. Yes you would only have 3 nights worth of credits but they would be valid almost your entire stay. we were going to do this but in the end it was only going to save us about $115 so we decided it wasn't worth it and we could use the extra night of credits. But then we are only staying mod with a good code so the room difference was negligable.
