This Christmas will be my first time onsite. I don't know much about the resort keys. I have a few questions:

1. Does everyone in your room get one including children?

2. Does this card tell CM how many are in your room and who?

3. You can put money on this too?

Thank you

1. Anyone over 3 years old will have a key issued to them. That doesn't mean they have to use it though.

2. Just looking at the front, it doesn't say. It does tell CM's which resort you are staying at but it is a specific sequence of numbers so other people can't tell.

3. You can choose to have a credit card linked to the key so that you can use it to pay for purchases. You can also tell the CM when checking in that you don't want to be able to charge things with it if you want.

So for extra magic hours, does everyone need to bring their keys?

many thanks

Yes, everyone with a valid ticket must also have a valid room key to get into either morning or evening EMH. Depending on the resort, you may also be asked to show them to swim in the pool, especially at YC & BC. So you'll want to have them with you.

Very true. Our granddaughter's room key went from the Cast Member's hand to mine, to my daughter-in-law's and then put away for the rest of the trip.

And that is on a person to person basis. The granddaughter had a room key but didn't have charging priviledges on her card. Everyone else did.

Room charges can be backed up by credit card, debit card, cash, even Disney Dollars. Every person OVER 2 years old (3 and up) will get a room key. It's true that, at check-in, you tell them which if any cards you do NOT want to have charging privileges, and the card will have that printed right on the front.

Another thing about room charges is that there can only be one room charge account per room. In other words, you can't have one person in the room put down one credit card and another person in the same room put down another credit card in an attempt to have a separate room charge account.

What CAN be done, however, is you can get room charge activity print-outs at any time at the front desk. Part of the info for each transaction is which card is responsible for each charge, so that way you can figure out who owes what.

1. Does everyone in your room get one including children? yes, but we always carry the kids. We hand it to them to "swipe" through the turnstiles at the park entrance, then take it back

2. Does this card tell CM how many are in your room and who? No

3. You can put money on this too? Yes, but only the cards which you specify. We don't add "charging privileges" on the kids cards.
You will need your room cards every day to get in every park. We just alwasys carry them with us.
