Liberty Tree Tavern or Garden Grill??

Hi all,
I am trying to plan out meals for an upcoming trip. We have 3 kids, ages 10, 2 and 1 going with us and are trying to mix some fun for kids restaurants into the mix. I cannot decide between Liberty Tree Tavern or Garden Grill. We have never eaten at either, so any insights or preferences would be helpful.

We are also going to:
'Ohana Best Friends Breakfast
Akerhaus Princess Breakfast
Sci-Fi Dine In
Whispering Canyon
Le Cellier
Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki
'Ohana Dinner

we've done both (lunch/dinner at liberty tree, dinner at garden grill)

there are characters at both dinners - it's cool to sit in a booth on a lower tier at garden grill and watch the ride below pass by - both have really good food (comfort food: meats, veggies, starches)

personally, we prefer the garden grill for dinner and lunch (without characters) at the liberty tree tavern (pilgrim's feast turkey dinner)

either choice, your children will enjoy! :goodvibes

We've done both and prefer GG. The food, atmosphere, and character interaction were much better at GG than at LTT. We'll be having dinner at GG Thursday of next week and can't wait!

Hands down the Garden Grill for us. My family (DH, DD, MIL and FIL) all thought the food was lots better and we liked the atmosphere a lot more- loved the change of scenery because of the rotation and it was much less noisy. Actually I'd eat there twice the next trip if it were up to me.

We've done both-without a doubt, prefer GG.

The dinner feasts are really similar. GG has superior vegetables which are grown right in Epcot!

Character interaction is a bit better, I'd even say more playful, at GG. I would recommend that you ask to sit on the lower level of GG. The upper section can become a bit congested and it is hard to enjoy the rotation through THE LAND RIDE.

Oh, and my DD6's favorite part...make it yourself cupcakes for the kiddies. Super fun!

You really can't go wrong at either place. Enjoy!

I've done both and would vote for LLT! The food at GG just isn't as good in my opinion.

They are similar in that they are both fixed-menu family style meals with characters (except for lunch at LTT). We have eaten at Garden Grill during each of our family trips; it's one of our favorites. We have eaten at LTT twice, and I ate there solo once.

The food at Garden Grill is definitely better IMO. That doesn't mean the food at LTT is bad; it's what you should expect from a mass-produced Thanksgiving -style dinner. Garden Grill also produces food en masse, but it results in higher quality. Garden Grill also has a unique atmosphere if you sit on the lower level. You essentially have a private booth almost completely isolated from other diners.

On the other hand we have experienced better service and character interaction at LTT, and enjoyed ourselves there. There are limited table service options at Magic Kingdom, and frankly none of them are compelling. LTT is as good as any other choice in MK.

There is a slight character difference. Goofy is at LTT and not at GG. Other than that, the catfish at GG is wonderful, but the food at LTT is not bad either.

Thanks for all the feedback, I think we are gonna go with GG!!

We also did GG back in 2000 and are returning this summer. Haven't done LTT but really liked the atmosphere and food at GG.

Chef Mickey's is my favorite for character interaction and a good "kid" atmoshpere (rowdy/loud) followed by Garden Grill for comfort food and backdrop.
