Hi, I completed the registration and Suitability Assessment and need to complete the phone interview and training if accepted. Has anyone here done this? Is the pay worth it as I think I would have to have another phone line and headset? Thanks!

Hi, I did workathomeagent and really liked it alot. When I worked there it was very busy and alot of money to be made. You dont need another phone line but you cannot have call waiting on your home phone. You cannot use a cordless phone either.

I've registered with Livops and I'm awaiting finally approval to start my training...hopefully it will be soon.

Yes, I work for them. The starter line is not my fav, but there are some good lines you can train for after that. Even working the line I don't like, the $ is decent. A lot depends on what you're comfortable with but for me, the flexibility is worth it for now.

I applied for West but they aren't hiring in my state. I applied and am working for LiveOps. I started about 2 weeks ago. From what I have read you earn a few cents per minute less with West than with LiveOps. In the 2 weeks that I have been working I've made about $150. Most of my time was during the mid morning early afternoon and I made the most over the weekend.

If you don't mind reading pages of offers, than you'll do fine. There is a lot of upsells/downsells to the original product and magazine and club offers that you MUST offer. The magazine and club offers earn you extra if you get the caller to take the trial offers.

This week I'm not making much because my kids are on spring break and I didn't want to commit to any time. If your not committed than you can work uncommitted but your call volume isn't great.

So, exactly what do you sell? Is this all incoming calls or do you have to make sales calls?

So you get calls with people interested in a product and you process the order and then try to upsell? I could do that.

Is it even a possiblilty for me? My situation- My DH is up in the air schedule wise. I know my DS will be in school 9-12 noon or 1-4 PM in Kindergarten next year, so could I commit myself for the three hours every day? I would be willing to work on weekends too, how many hours do they want at a time?

zurgswife - I am going ahead with LiveOps too. Got my info and am sending it in later this week with the $30 for the background check. Have you done that yet?

By the way, there is a message board called at www.WAHM.com that lists all these work at home companies and gives some good info.

With LiveOps, yes, you could do it. You can work any time you want.

Thanks for the replies. This summer with my three kids home, I'm not sure how many hours I could commit to. Can you take hours last minute? Has anyone added a phone line for this?

With LiveOps usually there are no commit blocks left but you could work uncommitted. This past Sat. there were blocks that weren't taken that I took last minute. I think that was because of the holiday and is very rare.

I did have a phone line installed for this (Verizon). I got a limited plan. It is unlimited incoming calls and I think 20 out going calls allowed per month. The plan is $5.20 plus $7.13 in taxes/surcharges = total of $12.33 per month. Now I know why I switched to cable phone.

You would just have to see if the hours are availible for that time. Most of the time they put them out for a wek ahead of time and you have to pick them then or just keep checking back to see if anyone has dropped hours. Also it was easy to get weekend hours to work.
Now I dont work for them now that is just how it was when I worked for them.

Yes, that's the great part. You can basically work as few or as many as you can schedule. The one I have now is just 1 hr of talk time a month. Easy. I've only scheduled 30 min blocks at this point. Some lines have requirements but they aren't enforced strongly from what I've heard. As long as the hours haven't been taken by others, you can schedule any times/days you want to work.

workplacelikehome.com is another good wahj site & has folders for a lot of the companies so it's easy to read up on what's expected & available.

Thanks for all the information! It gives me some direction in working from home the next year or so.
