POFQ or CS in December

OK, this has probably been discussed 100x's and I have been doing my research. We are planning a trip Dec 26 - 30. I know it will be busy...

Many pro's and con's about the times we are planning as well as which resort. I have booked CS, but can change to POFQ.

Does CS have the so called busing issues that POFQ may or may not have? Two small kids 6 & 3, small place may be better.

Are the pools heated where we can possibly swim in December?

I am looking for all of your help with this...Please.

Any and all opinions about anything would be appreciated.

The two resorts you picked are very popular but very different.

POFQ is a small resort with fewer amenities while CSR is a large convention resort with many extra amenities. I prefer the theme, size, pool and extras at CSR to POFQ. Check my website below for lot of info.

How is it getting from there to the parks and back on buses? OK?

Thanks for the quick reply.
CSR is the most central to the 3 parks. It's about a 5 min ride to AK and MGM, 7 min to Epcot and 10 min to MK. You can see on the map below it location to the parks.

There is a playground located at the main pool area for your kids as well.

But you have an eternal bus system at CSR. It can take awhile. Plus you could have a good walk to the bus stop. We have stayed at both resorts and there are good and bads with both. With two small children, we have six, I would pick POR FQ. For us the buses were faster there and the walks so much shorter. We also liked CSR. It is great but the walks can be much for small kids. Plus the room we had there was so far away. Every morning we would walk to the bus through a parking lot. We missed the scenery a lot. At Por FQ, that will not happen. Good luck. Both resorts are nice.

CSR has a bus stop in each village making the walk to your room no different than POFQ. CSR has an internal shuttle system provided by golf carts for guests that want a ride to the main building. It does not have a internal bus system, that is CBR.

Sorry buzz for not using the correct words. I was referring to the buss system at each village as you call it. I have never stayed at CBR so I have nothing to say about that one. It is different then the one bus stop at PORFQ. And I would not agree with the walk at PORFQ being the same as the walk to the bus stop at CSR. It depends on the room location. I loved the walk at PORFQ, much better then a parking lot view walk. Again our room was so far away when we stayed at CSR. To be honest had I know our room location before arriving, I would have stayed at a value.

Also the shuttle is nice when it is there. We had one time on the trip it was used. Everyother time we made our 'hike' it was no where to be found. Plus having to get kids and stollers on a shuttle is a bit tough. Again, we like both resorts and both have good and bad. I am just stating the facts for my family which has six small children. PORFQ was a better choice for us with them. Others may not agree but that is why Disney has so many choices. We did have a bit of wait time for the 'village' busses but would agree once the bus has made all the stops and gets on the main roads to the parks it is fast.
I love reading all the different ideas about different resorts. Every one has different needs. It helps me to make the best choice for my family.

Thanks for the help...Like I knew Pros and Cons for both...

I think the thing that concerns me the most is the bus stories from POFQ.
