Cheap hotel across the street from Disneyland?

Planning a trip to Disneyland on a budget. We (family of 4) need a cheap but nice place to stay and we'd like to be able to walk to the parks. Any advice?

Also we're thinking of going the first week of March any draw backs to going during that time?

Best Western Park Place Inn and the Tropicana are right across the street. I can't lend any first hand knowledge about either though. You could check www.tripadvisor.com

You might find some rides closed for refurbishment during that time.

Were on staying at the Tropicana in six weeks Never stayed off site before (a little scared) but I will post about the hotel when I get back.

I have a friend who stays there quite often as she says it's clean, close, and cheap; the 3 c's. She has never had any problems there. :)

We stayed at the Tropicana for trips in summer 2005 and 2006. I agree, it's clean, close, and cheap. they have a little laundromat downstairs, and it's within walking distance to McDonald's, too. Just don't eat at Captain Kidd's, next door. We really didn't enjoy our meal there. Denny's was better.

i've booked the parkside inn because it's the cheapest, i know it has bad reviews but i've not enough money to stay at an another place
i will post my review when i will come back late september

I stayed at the Parkside Inn back in February. I'll let you make up your own mind about it, but I'll say this: Being cheap is the ONLY thing in its favor. I doubt I'll ever stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Carousel and liked it. This time we are doing Dessert Inn and Suites because we have several family members going. The reviews on the trip advisor website were also good so we're crossing our fingers!

I noticed that the Dessert Inn had really good rates in March and it's across from the main gate.

We've stayed at Desert Inn & Suites many times and never had a problem.

I just booked our next trip - June 7 - and we're staying at the Carousel.

I did a TON of research online - forums, hotel sites, google, travel sites, you name it. I got a screaming deal at the Carousel AND it has one of the highest quality ratings I've found and some of the least problems. Let me qualify "quality ratings" - I took quality ratings from all of the sites I went to for each hotel I was considering, added them up and divided to get the average rating for each.

Anyway, I hope you have a great trip!

I'm staying at the Super 8 Anaheim Disneyland Drive..(there are 2 Super 8). Ask for the Two Queen luxury room (remodled). It is a 10 minute walk to DL.
Go to Expedia.com and type in the dates that you want to go and Disneyland and it will take you to all the hotels give you priced and show you lots of pictures amd reviews and ratings.

We have not stayed at this hotel yet. We are there one night and transfer over to GrandCalifornian for the other 2 nights(DL property)

When we get back on Thursday I will let you know how it was. We always stay on DL/WDW property because we are DVC members so we use our pts. Alot of the hotels were sold out due to Spring Break and 2 conventions in town so we went with this one after hrs of looking and deciding.

They also have a continental breakfast which like alot of hotels are so so but anything is good when you want to get to the parks.

Be back Thursday and see f I can get some pictures posted if woth the stay.

I'm not staying exactly "across the street" but pretty darn close. I booked our 2 room (each 2 queens) at Travelodge Anaheim for $174 for one night. Not too bad.

When you exit at Disneyland Dr. its on your right-hand side.

Oh I forgot to mention, another good CLOSE hotel is the Best Wester Park Place Inn (aka BWPPI)

its not cheap though. I just checked and its about $140 a night in march of next year

If you want a cheaper but a bit farther away, check out Best Western Courtesy Inn.
