Have you seen the Thomas Kinkade painting of Disneyland?

It's absolutely beautiful! I happened to see it in the window of the local gallery at the mall last weekend. I went right in, and that's a shop I never go into. I was wishing I had $2400 to plop down for the largest oil painting of it right then and there.

I'm thinking I may have to buy a large poster of it off eBay, and have it framed. Rather ghetto, I know, but it's such a beautiful picture.

Yup, over my mantlepiece!!!
We love it. We bought it on our trip to Disneyland during the 50th last September and we love it. It's not the fancy oil painting, just the print but we
splurged and bought it framed and had it shipped home. It arrived in 5 days!

There are a lot of the prints on Ebay, I saw them just today while looking for other DL prints. Having it framed would look nice. It's not ghetto! Not too many people can afford $2400 for a framed art piece. At least I can't afford it!

I see you are in WA. So am I. There is a Disneyland outlet open right now up in Burlington....they may have it. If you could find a number to call....it might be worth the trip!!! I drove up there from Seattle quite a few weeks ago and got a lot of great stuff. :) Just an idea!

Hi Dukland! Did you see it at the Thomas Kinkaid Gallery at the Tacoma Mall? I love going in there! We bought the print and had it framed (like a previous poster did). It has a beautiful gold frame and is hanging in our living room (AKA: the Disney Museum!!) We've gotten lots of compliments on it. Incidentally, the family in the right corner by the balloon seller is Thomas Kinkaid's family!

I didn't know there was one there now. I'm near Tacoma, so it would be a drive for sure. I'll have to scheme :rolleyes1 and see if I can talk dh into it. I managed to talk him into driving to Alderwood Mall last weekend, just so I could go to the Disney Store and buy my kids Easter clothes. yes, I am a Disney nerd through and through. Watch out! It's contagious!

I sure have. It is hanging over my sofa. Again, not the original oil painting but it truly is beautiful. See if they have the prints left. Also if you purchase it through Disney Delivears you could get if framed with the special gold hidden Mickey frame.

I think the least expensive print at the gallery was $700. That was for the smallest size, of course. Does anyone have any idea of the price through Delivears?

I LOVE THAT PAINTING! I am trying to find a print that I can buy to frame. Its hard to find them. I have a small postcard of it, and I scanned it so I can use it as my computers desk top patter, but I want a larger print that I can frame for the wall.

We bought the print in DTD last year. I framed it once we got home, it's hanging in our living room right now. I love it, of course I've always been a fan of Thomas Kinkade. I have a few of his pieces.

We got one framed at DL and it's a small one with the DL 50th anniversary matte and I think we paid $100 for it or so. I can't remember, I just knew I wanted it and DH said we could get it. :)

We bought it from the Kinkade Gallery immediately upon hearing he was painting one. It took forever to be released though.. Disney and Kincade had a dissagreement about royalties etc... it almost never was released as Disney wanted more control than they discussed at first.

We love Kincades. They do go up in price IF the edition you purchase sells out and the demand it there... like anything of collectiable value. We purchase Kincades because we love them - and not for future resale.....

It may be released in paper version which will be much less than a print. Kincade does not ever release his originals though...

It is a beautiful painting. Someone on here has/had it in their signature, that's where I first saw it. I would love to have one, but it would have to be a repo because I don't have $2400 either :wizard:

My DH bought it for me in 12/05 for my birthday. It is a huge print (framed by the store gold frame burgundy matt) and hangs on the wall of my office at work. When things get too overwhelming, I take a minute to look at the hidden Mickeys!
