DF and I are getting married July 23, 2007 at the Wedding Pavilion with a reception at ADH and a dessert party at French Lower. We just received our Letter of Agreement (today!), and I feel like the ball is FINALLY rolling. Our planning session is March 5th at 9:30am, and it can't come soon enough! While we are in the world, we are having our engagement pictures taken by Randy Chapman. I'm really excited about our location which is PORS, where we first met. My dream is to get some sweet shots by the pool (if only we could "borrow" some uniforms, and play pretend...:rotfl: ). It is the first time back to PO for both of us, and I think it will really bring back memories. For anyone who doesn't know, DF and I met on the College Program two years ago.
I've booked Beaute Speciale for hair and make-up, and will be having my trial run during our visit. I told DF he's going to have to "go away" while I'm getting it done. All surprises for the wedding day!

I already ordered and got my bridesmaid dresses from JcPenney. Let me tell you, these dresses are phenomenal and classy, and only $49.99 APIECE!! If anyone else is doing blue as one of their colors, I really recommend these dresses.

My mom and I are going this Thursday to order my veil and pick out jewelry. I'm thinking I just want a single layer veil, and I will probably wear my hair mostly down and curled for the wedding.

If I look uncomfortable in that picture, it's because the dress was being held up with what I swear were car jumper cable clips:rotfl2: But that is my dress...and if you look at the top detail of it, and look at the top of the BM dress, you might see something in common! Heck yes for lucky coincidences!:woohoo: The dress still has to be majorly altered though:sad2:

We are also going to order the flower girl's dress and my two junior bridesmaids' dresses. My colors are dark blue and cornflower, and I think the JBM dresses will be in the cornflower color with ivory sashes.

Well, that is about it for now! I will add more as I think of it, especially after the PS! Thanks for reading my rambles:grouphug:

Kate ~ yay for your planning journal!! I love the color of your bridesmaids dresses and the style for that matter! I also adore your dress! lol, I know what you mean about the jumper cable clips! I can't tell you how many pictures I have where those things are staring straight into the lens! :)

The single layer veil will look great with the elegance and simplicity of your dress!! Good luck shopping for that! Can't wait to read more!

The bridesmaid dreeses are soooo elegant! Great find! You look great in the gown!
Those orange cables!:rotfl: The first time I tried on gowns and saw it I had to take a second look and giggle! I mightn ot ever use them to work on my car, but they serve a great purpose!

looks like you are off to a great start :goodvibes cant wait to hear more;) looks like it will be a bust summer with weddings!!!

You are truely going to be one of the most beautiful brides!! I love those BM Dresses.... you have the best taste in things!! Can't wait for more!!

Your dress is beautiful!! I just noticed that your wedding is really close to mine. We are getting married on July 26th!!

thank you everyone for your thoughtful comments...you all are so sweet.:cheer2:

as for the "jumper cables"...someone needs to give bridal shops the memo that brides don't like wearing car accessories:rotfl:

jasnal, we're only a few days apart, and originally I had wanted your date! Maybe we'll bump into eachother? It'll be nice that there are a lot of us having summer weddings....good moral support!:grouphug:

Kate, I love you BMs dresses, your dress, and veil. You have great taste! I really like the idea of a single layer veil, and I may copy the idea :) It looks very elegant on you.

Your bm's dresses match the detail on your dress perfectly! I can't wait to hear more about your wedding plans :)

Kate
You will be stunning! Great choice on the BM dresses they will look sensational as well! I can't wait to read more!

I am so excited that our planning session is in 3 days!! We arranged to have a menu tasting with a chef at the Boardwalk. My WP also finally got selected, and she is Maxine Pollakis. We never got our AP vouchers so I slyly called to ask if there were any park ticket discounts for us. Her assistant Brandeye asked if I had received the AP's. What AP'S??? She is going to arrange for us to pick them up at one of the parks when we first get there. I was so worried that we wouldn't have tickets for this trip, so I am happy it worked out.
FYI: Don't be scared to ask for things. I usually am, but in this case I am happy I did!

Things have been very crazy with school and work so I haven't been able to post very much lately. I actually decided that I DON'T like my bridesmaid dresses. We returned them and ordered new dresses by Forever Yours

They will be navy with ivory sashes, and actually match the invitations really well. See, I knew all along what I was trying to do, it just took me a little while to get there!:rotfl2:

Well, I need to finish writing a paper and get packing. Any last minute pointers for me? I will let you all know how it goes once I get back!:goodvibes I am so excited!!!!!:cheer2:

Wow everything looks beautiful. I really like those BM dresses that you picked out. I find it really awesome that you met your DF on the program. I did the program twice, and I don't think I have met anyone who had a long lasting relationship come from it. Congrats on that.
Hope that your planning session goes well. Have fun tasting the cake and food. Can't wait to read the TR.

I love your new BM dresses too! Have fun at your planning session :goodvibes I had to ask for my APs before my planning session too, and was also really nervous, but I ended up getting them! I'm glad you did too :)

I love your invitations! I just came upon your planning journal, searching for my WP Maxine (out of curiosity). I've been having no luck at all finding invitations I like. Can you tell me where you found yours?

Hi Jasonandlisa,

Firstly, Maxine is wonderful and I hope you have as great of an experience with her as we have! The invitations are from Carlson Craft, but I can't seem to find an item # for them. We ordered them through a local wedding shop where we live. Most bridal shops carry Carlson Craft as they are a very popular invitation company. If you go to www.carlsoncraft.com you can locate a retailer through their site. Good luck with your invitations!
