Can you tell me what happens with this? OK if I book to eat at MK on day of MNSSHP can I go park, restaurant, MNSSHP without leaving. Don't really understand how they empty the park and then allow in the evening visitors. Also how many of you adults go in costume?

sorry Moderators if I have posted this in the wrong place.popcorn::

if they continue this year as they did last year, you will be able to get a wrist band for the party at 4pm. As long as you have tix to the party, no, you won't have to leave. even if you are in earlier than 4pm (using a regular ticket), you can still head over to get your wrist band without leaving the park. in october we got ours in the rose garden.

Last year, for the first time, they didn't close the park between park closing and party opening. If you had a wristband, they would let you wander around (after 7:00p) but if you do not have a wristband they direct you out of the park, will not even let you in the restrooms or buy stuff in the stores.

After 4:00p they start letting party goers in the turnstyles with just their party tickets and they will give you the wristbands then. If you are in the park BEFORE then, all you have to do is between 6:00p and 7:00p look for a CM around the Castle or the Town Hall to get a wristband in exchange for your ticket. In the past, even the restaurant you are eating in could get you your wristbands but I'm not 100% sure they still do this.

Hope this helps.

I know people said this last year, and I was there on the first day of the Halloween party. However, I don't know that I could say with 100% conviction that they limited anyone. I think it would be very easy to kind of "hide" your wrist. I am not saying you should by the way, I just think that there were most likely people there who had not paid. I certainly did not notice if most of the people had wristbands or not and I wonder if any castmembers would have been confrontational about it. Did anyone see anything or anyone being asked to leave? Just wondering... :confused3

Well, I was there for MNSSHP last year and I've also read many reviews from party guests, after returning and most, including myself, reported seeing CMs EVERYWHERE and not letting anyone without wristbands on rides, in restrooms, make purchases, buy food, or even sit on the curb before the parade. They blocked off the entrances to each land and only let you in if you had a wristband.

There was even a very long thread, written by a man without tickets/wristband venting because he was very angry that he was escorted out of the park by a CM and also not allowed to make any final purchases after 7:00p on Main Street.

So, IMHO, I think the CMs did a pretty darn good job clearing out those without wristbands. They did better than I expected them to as I was very skeptical of this new procedure in the first place.

I think that CM compliance varied from party to party. On our day (10/24), we were asked to raise our hands to show wristbands at various checkpoints throughout the park.I remember specifically Tomorrowland, The Entrance to the Wonderland treat path, along the parade rotue (near the HM).AFter about 8:30 they kinda stopped looking tho, i guess they assumed all non party goers were gone.

Gah. I remember the hoopla last year about the concern of non paying guests being able to enjoy MNSSHP. Letters of concern and outrage were written, everyone had their panties in a twist. lol
We had a great MNSSHP and not once did I see anyone without a wristband. Like the pp said, most CM's at the rides and shops were checking for wristbands.

Whoops. I realize this doesn't answer your question :)

As for costumes, I'd say we saw maybe 30% of the adults dressed up. And when I say dressed up, they were dressed up! DH and I didnt, but plan to this year. Can't wait!

Have fun!

Thank you for all your replies they are so helpful. I like the idea of arriving for an early dinner and then staying for the party. Plus as a big kid at heart I just want the chance to dress up (11 hours flight from home there is a good chance I won't see anyone I know! )
Thanks again.

For those of you who ate dinner at MK before MNSSHP, what time did you have ADRs?

we had an ADR at Crystal Palace for 5 PM the earliest we could get. we enterd at 4 PM got wristbands and hit a few rides thrn went over to Cp.By the time we got oput the halloween events hadnt started yet.

we had cp adr's for 5pm. I wouldn't have wanted to have them later, and the time we had ended up working perfectly. we entered around 4, rode a few rides and then headed to dinner.

5:10 ADR at Crystal Palace

Left Cp at 6:30pm, just in time to get in line for face painting in Adventureland:thumbsup2

Oh, and I concur that crowd control was excellent. Despite the night we went being sold out at max capacity we got to experience everything with very little waiting or bad seat for the parades (top of the circle in the main square looking towards Cindrella's castle). I won't tell you my secret plan though. I didn't have one  oops.
