Hi- planning a trip and want to try some new TS. :cool1: Can anyone give me some ideas about what you have had at these restaurants that was really good?

I would like to hear about appetizers, main course and desserts as well. Thanks!

Sci-Fi Drive In
Le Cellier

And what things did you particularly enjoy at:

Boma
O'hana
Park Fare buffet at Grand Floridian

Also, at Earl of Sandwich does any side come with your sandwich order on the DDP or are sides extra? :confused3

Thanks!!

At Le Cellier, you have to try the cheddar cheese soup and the pretzel breadsticks. My DH actually preferred the other breadsticks that were more like an "all grain" breadstick, but I thought the pretzel ones were to die for. I heard about the soup and breadsticks here at the Dis before I went last year, so I really had to try them! :)

I only can tell you about Sci-Fi and the drinks. I cant remember what I ordered last time I was there back in 2003 but it was really good. Anyways, make sure you order the oreo milkshake as your drink. It is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! Best milkshake in the world!

I can only comment on a couple of the places you mentioned, but here are my .02.

At Sci-Fi all the adults had burgers which were good and DS had the kid's pizza, which he thought was just OK. As an appetizer, we all shared the spinach and artichoke dip, which was really good but they don't give you enough chips for all the dip.

We weren't terribly impressed with 'Ohana, but did enjoy some of the food. The salad was terrific and the wings were pretty good (but really messy!). We all enjoyed the grilled steak the most of the meats offered. And the bread pudding is one of the best desserts I've ever had! I would go back just for that! We also enjoyed our drinks a lot. I had the Backscratcher and DH had the Lapu Lapu. (The Lapu Lapu was better IMO).

Anyway, hope that helps a little. Have a great trip!:)

The mussells at LeCellier are to die for, the chowder style broth full of potatoes and bacon is so good. Dipping the pretzel bread in it is heaven!:cloud9:

Park Faire Buffet at GF, Princess dinner? Well, if so, the Strawberry Soup is wonderful as are the mussels, prime rib... We think it's the best buffet going!

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. However, no french fries for kids, and real pieces of chicken, not chicken fingers for them.

Agree! (Though I prefer the sourdough breadsticks over the pretzel). My favorite dessert at the table at Le Cellier was the kid's S'More dessert - one of the adults ordered it and let me tell you it was fantastic. Some people here also rave about the Maple Creme Brulee. I had the NY Strip and everyone else had the steak with the mushrooms - everyone liked their meals!

Earl of Sandwich: My recollection is that we got chips with our sandwich but I could be wrong about that- may have paid OOP - just remember having chips and we were on DDP.

Le Cellier: the 7oz filet with maple bbq sauce is yummy! The free range chicken is also really good. You must try the cheese soup. I loved the creme brulee and DH can't wait to go back for the chocolate cake.

'Ohana: I loved everything here, but the steak (it was really rare; I like mine well done).

Earl: We only got a sandwich and dessert, no sides.

Making me hungry!!!

Sci-Fi-Loved the spinach dip-so cheesey!!chocolate mousse tart-heavenly
Le Cellier-our fave place! Mussels with potato appetizer(a meal in itself!!) 7oz bbq filet and for dessert the canadian club cake (chocolate whiskey cake)

1900 park fare-mussels,mushroom filled ravioli, and the strawberry soup

Le Cellier - I had the fillet and while I'm not a big meat eater, it was FABULOUS! I've never had a melt in your mouth steak before so it was very good.

Sci Fi - We had basic burger and fries meals here which were good, but we also had a side of onion rings and they were wonderful (just not enough of them on the plate)!

Le Cellier: I had the barbecue filet without the barbecue sauce. It was sooooooooo good. For dessert I ordered the maple creme brulee but it came 1/2 maple and 1/2 vanilla. The maple is to die for. The vanilla's okay.

Sci Fi: Never been

Boma: Loved the chicken curry soup and all of the hummus dips. super yummy.

Ohana: Love the Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. The dinner is okay, DH loved all the meat! Way too much food.

At Earl of Sandwich, the sandwich comes without any sides: no chips, no dessert, no drink. You can purchase any or all of those, but they are all a la carte, not included in the sandwich price.

Cheers!

I do remember that I absolutely loved the ribs at Sci-Fi, and I'm very particular about them at home. And here's a second vote for the oreo milkshake. Haven't eaten at any of the others.

Hi M,
We ate at the Sci-Fi Drive-In for dinner last week. There were 10 of us in the group, 6 kids and 4 adults. Everyone loved it there, atmosphere as well as food wise. I had the BBQ Chicken breast sandwich which was quite good, 4 had the Chicken Caesar salad which they said was yummy, 1 had the Rueben which he loved, the orea cookie milkshake was scrumptious, and my youngest is kind of a fussy eater, so I asked if she could have a hamburger which was on the regular lunch menu, but not the dinner menu, which she received and loved. Hubby and my oldest son had the Butcher steak which was good also. Enjoy!!:thumbsup2

Sci-Fi Diner: DD and I shared a meal here. I had the appetizer as a meal - the 7 bean chili and it was so good. We also shared the spinach dip which was really good also. DD and her BF had the oreo milkshakes which they loved. They liked the desserts but they looked a bit too rich for me.

Boma's - loved everything that I took. There were a couple of things that did not appeal to me but overall I think this was my favorite meal of the whole trip. I could have eaten here almost every night!! I just wish my stomach could have held a bit more!!
