How many Disney resorts have you stayed in?

All Star Sports

All Star Movies/Pop Century (same trip- our Hurricane Katrina evacuation trip)

Caribbean Beach (my kids LOVED this one!)

In 2 weeks we will stay at the Grand Floridian...I wanted the Poly but DH won!

I love every hotel we've stayed in. If money is tight, I will definitely stay in a value again. The magic of being at Disney is more important to me than how expensive my hotel room is! I would love to stay in every hotel on property- I still have a lot more to go!

We've stayed in three. Trying the YC for the first time in April. Since I love staying near the MK, we are doing a split stay. GF and Poly are favorites, it's hard to pick one over the other. I think I would be more willing to try different resorts if we did more split stays.

CBR and CSR many times. I like CSR the best out of the two mods.

AKL and AKL CL/BWV/BC/Dolphin for deluxes. My fav is AKL CL. Now I am hooked. BC was my least favortie. BWV was a very close second to AKL.

Brings me back to : What is with the Treehouses? Any Plans?

The treehouses are currently being used by International Exchange Cast Members. (The ones from the various countries working at the Epcot Pavillions).

They can't tear them down, because if they do, they can't rebuild due to protected land. It would be cost prohibitive to remodel them for guests because now that there was hurricane damage, the extensive remodeling required would force them to make a certain percentage of them ADA accessible for guests. Apparently employee housing doesn't apply because they do provide accessible housing for their college program folks and international exchange folks. The "theming" of cast member housing is not an issue.

(Something about anything over a 40% remodel requires them to add accessibility).

Just another little tidbit, you know those small boats that go between Ft. Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary and Poly, GF, and MK. Those boats are quite old (been around since 71). If one breaks down enough that they have to do a 40% refurbish, they'll have to make them accessible or discontinue their use. They can continue to use them as is because they do provide accessible transportation. Apparently the "theming" of transportation is not an issue either.
