My dh and I plus our 3 dd (ages 7,4, and 1) would love to go to Sea World this summer. I don't know much about the San Diego area at all! We would also love to hit the zoo, but probably that would be it besides the beach.
Which beaches are the best/nicest? What hotels/condos/etc are the best for the beach? Close to Sea World?
If anyone has any input on beaches, accomodations, dining, and shopping, I'd love it. I don't even know where to start, so I was hoping you all could help :goodvibes Oh, and what is the weather usually like in June???
thanks a bunch!

We love to stay at Paradise Point resort and Spa, but it can get spendy. Love the place, I could go on and on, 44 tropical acres, small buildings with four or so rooms in each....great pool, close to sea world.

You might also consider going to Lego Land in Carlsbad, about 30 miles north, it's an amusment park for younger kids, my dd then almost 5 loved it.

The zoo is great, make sure to get the admission that lets you take the bus, it's on a hill and it can be a long walk. Take the bus to the Polar bears and then walk down......

A great place to stay that is close proximity to Sea World is Marriott Residence Inn. Whole hotel is non-smoking. It is an easy to drive to Sea World, beaches, San Diego Zoo, Legoland, and Old Town.

We are season passholders at Sea World so we go all year long. My GK's will go every day for the week we usually spend in San Diego.

June weather is usually cloudy in the AM, in the 70's in the afternoon.
