Another Monorail Question

Hi All!
The other discussion about the monorail made me wonder something. We have purchased the basic MYW 7 day passes. We only plan to go to one park per day, for sure, but I wonder about just riding the monorail to see the sights.
Does the monorail go through more than one park? If it does, and we stay on it and return to our original park will we be ok with the basic ticket? Or would we have to have a park hopper just to ride?

It really only "tours" one park and that is Epcot. You can take the monorail and do the circuit of the resorts, but, there really is not a lot to seel. The ride from the Ticket and Transportation center takes you to the MK station or to Epcot. The ride to Epcot takes you on a slight tour of the park. You do not need admission to either park to use the monorail and it . like all transportation, is included with your pass.

Even though only the Epcot monorail actually goes into a park, the monorails are still plenty of fun, especially if you get to ride up front.

I also like to ride the resorts monorail and get off at each resort in turn to explore the lobbies, grounds, and gift shops.

Thank You WillCAD. Your maps are great! Seeing helps! I was thinking of just going there for our first afternoon after arrival to get the feel of the place since it is our first time. Maybe go to DTD, too.

Anne, those are both great first day ideas -- the monorail is so synonymous with WDW. It'll get you right in the mood! Hope your trip is great!
