Cypress Pointe

My vacation at Cypress Pointe was very nice. the rooms are as advertised.

however I have a problem with people being in my room when I was not there. this happened several times. Once I caught them. the other times they were stupid and did not shut the door. this door had a problem and you need to shut it.

this was upsetting to me.

what is their reason for going in a room when you aren't there? it wasn't to fix anything because I didn't call them.

I have learned the hard way not to take any values with me. my camera stay in the car. my jewelry stays at home. my cash stays on me - I always have a fanny pack. I don't care what the FASHION says.

So I am not certain what was going on.

I love the whirlpool pool in the master. It is probably for me one of the best!!!

the pool in the connecting studio was not big enough. It looked like it was - but once you got inside it - it was for people shorter than 5' 5". - I would say 5' would be perfect for it.

I stayed at Cypress Pointe last year and also enjoyed it, but the issue you've raised is scary. Did you tell a manager about this? Perhaps they have one or more problem employees and aren't aware of it yet.

Was it the maid? Did you see them rummaging through your stuff? I would be so mad!!! You know this can happen in any hotel but you shouldn't have to nail every thing down!! I hope you let the mgr. know!

One of the things that I liked best about CPGV was NOT having the maid service. I'm like you and don't want anybody in my room. I know what you mean about the door having a little bit of a problem and having to make sure you closed it (it didn't just slam shut behind you). They apparently walked out in a hurry and didn't make sure it closed.

There was certainly no reason for anybody to be in your room. What did they say when you walked in on them? Since we're planning on staying again next December, I'd like to know if you contacted management and how they responded.

We did use the safe in the room and kept our stuff locked up (camera, purses, wallets, etc.) when we weren't using them. We did leave our laptops out though (I didn't check to see if they would fit in the safe or not).

Which part did you stay in. was it Phase 1 or the Villas? did you speak to anyone else that had the same problem. Hope it didn`t spoil your holiday.

Make sure you get the safe (it's only a dollar a day plus tax). It's inexpensive and will make you feel better (at least it did me).
