Well-I just had to share. After all the searching & finding the Zhu Zhu pets I have to say it was worth it.

I bought my 2 littlest kids 2 each & the accessories. Then I decided to get my 2 cousins kids 1 each.

So yesterday my family had our annual christmas party at my house. My cousin Dale's son Jakub (10 yrs old) has cerebral palsy. He opened his gift & started squealing & screaming "look dad zhu zhu". And I got his fav color-yellow. He was so excited & kept showing everybody. He just kept hugging it & smiling. I had tears in my eyes just watching him. It was the cheapest gift ($8 from walmart) he got but it's the only one he cared about.

And I thought my kids would be upset because my cousins' kids got them but they didn't. My DD4 just said "that's what santa's bringing me with the tunnels." :santa:

What a lovely story! Thank you for sharing! (Thank heavens the Zhu Zhu craze has escaped our household...what stories you all have about chasing these buggers!!!)

Last year, DS (10 with autism) wanted several Lego Spongebob sets - no problem, he got them. But the gift he and my daughters have NOT stopped talking about and begged for again this year?

A "don't share" box of their favorite junk foods! Spent about $20 on each box (a copy paper/bankers box with a lift off lid) and filled it with their favorite sodas, cookies, junky cereals, Pringles, and a bit of candy.

To say these were a HUGE hit is to understate it dramatically! Who knew???

(PS...they did share! A bit!)
