I blame people all the time too. It's never going to be my fault as long as I have you DIS'ers around to blame. That's my story and i'm sticking to it!

So still staying at an ice cream----I mean an Epcot hotel!

5 nights Animal Kingdom Lodge (Club level cause it was only £40 more expensive )

2 nights Grand Floridian (Garden View cause Lagoon was WAY more expensive )
2 nights Polynesian Village Resort (Garden View cause its prudy )

3 nights Yacht Club (Garden View cause I don't want to see rooftops )

5 nights Contemporary Resort (Theme Park view...none negotiable of the trip )

11 nights Old Key West (1 Bedroom Villa...it just feels like home... )

This actually worked out CHEAPER than our original plans! By like...A LOT!

Plus we get free dining at AKL, CR and OKW.

Okay never done the free dining so excuse my ignorance (or not, whatevs!) but why only free dining here and not at all resorts?

Yay for the Poly! And it being cheaper!

They just opened 2016 packages for us so of course I was looking at prices. I want to stay at POR Riverside but Carribean Beach is cheaper. How does that make sense? It used to be that the moderates were the same price. So weird. l want to do eight nights. However, we were talking with friends about going at the same time and they want to do a four night cruise with four nights at the Boardwalk. But that's only three full days at WDW!!! And I haven't been since 2012! I don't know if I can give up a week at the parks for a cruise? I've never been on a cruise before and while its appealing I need the parks!!!

I gotta agree I was so surprised by the prices this year. I mean I was shocked that this way worked out cheaper but I was really shocked that it would cost us more to stay at AoA than AKL??

OOOOOOooooo! A cruise! That sounds so cool! But yeah, I see your point, I'm not sure I could give up my WDW time either!!

Wow...well I know "YOU" aren't crazy but...that is indeed a crazy amount of resort changes!! But as long as you don't mind moving around...it will be great to see all those different places!! I'm excited for you about the Poly...I think that will be an amazing place to stay because of the atmosphere and the convenience and of course the restaurants!!

It doesn't bother me at all! If I could I actually would just live in hotels! My DM on the other hand isn't quite as thrilled but like me she wants to do the all so she's okay with it!

I am v v excited about the Poly. I haven't really spent any time there apart for once I went to one of the restaurants (no idea which) and I had some bread which was some kind of banana type bread and I was kinda put off!

But I am looking forward to seeing the revamp!

Yes, this is an excellent plan. I will take all three! And you are absolutely correct - ice cream is very important!

Okay never done the free dining so excuse my ignorance (or not, whatevs!) but why only free dining here and not at all resorts?

I didn't understand the dining plan when we went in 2012 so we were super confused when the told we had it and even more confused why we only had it at OKW!

As far as I understand to get free dining you have to stay at least 5 nights and buy park tickets each time so we can't get that at the Poly, GF or YC. I don't know if it's the same for US peeps but that how it works here. I really wish we could get it but I don't think we can really add another 8 days on! Or could we .....

I know what you mean about other not being into the whole planning process! My mom who is coming on this trip with me loves WDW but she isn't that concerned with the whole planning thing! I go on and on and on with all the plans I made and she just smiles and says whatever I plan is fine with her! Gee thanks mom!

That's where the DIS comes in! I can plan to my little hearts content and if I am boring people I wont know cause I cant see them rolling their eyes! (Unless they use this I suppose!)

Hi there friends!

So today had a high suckage factor (minds out of the gutter please) remember that super amazing trip to Italy DF booked for my birthday? You know the one for the "official" engagement story? Yeah well....maybe start forgetting it.

Turns out D'sF move to London is going to be longer...like maybe a year longer
Plus the case he is on is 99.9% going to over run into August so Italy is just a no go.

I am really proud of him and the fact that his firm are wanting him on important case...its just I hardly see him, he works Monday to Friday, I work weekends...This was going to be a week where we had some proper in the same place, at the same time...time. But no I won't see him until the start of July and only if something doesn't come up on the case.

Now I need to drown my sorrows in a vat of B&J and a bottle of booze.

But before I do that I thought I would do some Disney planning to cheer myself up!

Plus I should really do it before the booze, cause I make so little sense anyway so lets not push all of you over the edge with my drunken babble!

Lets get started!!

So I know I already did some day run downs....but as I am a certifiably insane planner person I did them all again! So lucky you! You get to read a whole new set of day run downs!

1. Travel Day:
Okay this is pretty much the same...we are still flying...in a plane...Not Patrick Swayze...

Anyway. When we arrival we will get DME to AKL. I don't have any plans to go to a park the first day. Last time we didn't get into Orlando until after 3:30pm then after security, bag claim yada yada we got to our hotel around 5:30ish.
So we will be staying at the resort with a ADR at:

Sanaa!
I am more excited about Sanaa than I am Jiko. I don't really know why but that's just me!

2. 14th September

This will be our first park day, and because I like to be efficient, we are going to hit up Animal Kingdom.
Now as we are staying Club Level at AKL we will need to make use of the Club longue (if I'm are paying for it I best be getting it!)
Now my Fastpass+ for this day (if I can get them) will be
a. Expedition Everest
b. Kilimanjaro Safaris
c. Dinosaur

I don't have a ADR planned for today because this is the day I'm planning to do the Wanyama Safari (there is a good chance I spelt that wrong but I'm lazy and can't be bother to check right now! )
This includes dinner at:

Jiko!
So that means I can take that off my ADR list!


3. 15th September

Again, for efficence, we are hitting up AK again. Today is the day I planned out Wild Africa Trek. I am think one of the first two time slots in the hopes there might be more animal activity. So that will be out morning.
After a resort/pool break we will head back to AK for afternoon fun with a late lunch/early dinner ADR at:

Yak and Yeti!
But no wantons for me!

4. 16th September

Surprise, surprise we are hitting up AK again! The main reason I'm doing it this was is that AKL is just so far away from everything so why not make use of its close proximity to AK?

So after a fun filled morning at AK I am planning a trip to Downtown Disney...or should that be Disney Springs now? I get confused. Well what ever its call we are going to head there. I am planning a ADR at here:

T-Rex!

Never been here before but I like the sound of the menu (yes I have looked at every WDW menu...)
I think it looks fun. Hopefully no fish will make a bid for freedom while we are there!
After our prehistoric dinner we are going to be going out on our Night Safari!!
Really looking forward to that!

5. 17th September

So I'm sure you were ready to read we are going to AK this morning but HA! We aren't!

We are going to a water park! Blizzard Beach to be precise! Because its closer! There I go with my efficiency again!
After a morning of wet fun (gutter...) and an afternoon resort break its back to Downtown Springs for our ADR at:




Fulton's Crab House!

This is my favourite WDW restaurant so I am really excited for it. Like really, really excited.

6. 18th September

Today is check out day for AKL. We will leave our bags with Bell Services who will move them to the POLY!!!!

After disposing of our bags we will spend the morning at AK, cause we haven't been for a while !
Then we will grab a bus to the Magic Kingdom then hop in a boat the Poly to check in. I'm not expecting our room to be ready but we can check in and check out the resort! Then off we go for our first taste of MK of the trip!

Hopefully when we get back from our MK afternoon our room should be ready. More resort exploring before our ADR at:

Kona Café!

The evening plan is to relax and watch Wishes from the Beach


Well that distracted me for all for ten minutes so I'm off to drink some hooch and consume some ice cream!

Great plans...that's a lot of AK time!! But night safari?? I haven't heard about that...I may have to look up some more info on that...sounds really cool!! Also you have some great ADR's in mind...I LOVED Kona when we were there in March and all the others sound amazing too! Sorry about your DF's having to be away so much...that's got to be hard. Are you able to go visit at all?

Your plan looks great, I love the dining options. I'm planning to eat at Sanaa for the first time as well this trip. TRex is cool! I really enjoyed eating there, you should try the cocktails!
