Yay, finally caught up! My uncle lives near Southampton, but I've not visited Manchester or Newcastle areas yet.

Yay! Well done for making it through!

I've only ever been to Southampton once when I was a kid, I'm Northern!
Wow, so jealous! My longest trip so far has been 10 days!
We do tend to go for longer. I mentioned before the longest I have ever been was for 6 weeks.
That is great news! You and your mom are gorgeous, and I hope you have a fabulous time planning the trip as well as going on the trip.
Thanks she is doing really well right now! I am a total planner so I love planning it nearly as much as doing it! Its an addiction!
Well, you are doing this trip in style, that's for sure!
If you are gonna do it do it right, right?
Ice cream? *hangs head in shame* Not only did I not know where Boardwalk even was, I did not know about the ice cream location either. Definitely adding this to my must do list! (As long as it's warm enough, of course!)
Its always warm enough for ice cream! It snowed(!) here yesterday

and I still ate ice cream!
I can sort of understand not knowing where the Broadwalk is, with the MK hotels you can see them from the park but with the Epcot ones unless you get the boat to HS they are more hidden. So hold your head high!
It's not an addiction, it's a talent!
Mmmm, hoping that DH would like to eat here one night!
You must convince him! It was hands down the best meal of the trip for me....*drool*
I love the Magical Express - I just think of it as a very long Disney limo.

I love that! They should rename it Disney's Magical Limo Express!
I have not yet grown out of this fear... Definitely a fear of the "big drop", plus my own vision of me flying out of the log. Totally unrealistic, I know - as if Disney would have a ride where there is a potential of visitors hurtling out through the air into the water!
I totally get what you are saying. There is a theme park here call Alton Towers and they have this ride called Air and seriously the whole ride I was convinced that I was going to die. Like legit die! Weirdly I never went on it again...wonder why?
Okay....totally wrong of me....but...how funny would it be if they actually did have a ride that catopulted visitors into the water (totally safely of course) I would totally be up for that!
Me neither. You are correct - if there is a potential for chocolate, that's where I'll be found as well.
Chocolate=Win. Also Im not a huge fan of pineapple flavoured things. I like pineapple, just not stuff flavoured like pineapple...unless booze is involved...then I'm good.
I love reading about real mountains, but I will never be climbing real mountains myself. I seem to be able to handle most of the Disney versions, just not Splash. Yet.
I'm okay looking at mountains from a distance (like on TV!) but I cant watch anything with people on mountains or from the top of mountain. I blame Sylvester Stallone!
I've never even seen Avatar myself. I hope it turns out well, just not sure either why that is a match for AK.
Never got all the way through Avatar. I hope it works out well too, I agree it just doesn't say "Animal Kingdom" to me. Its not even a Disney movie. You would think if they are building a whole land around a movie they would have chosen one of their own. Or at least something better than Avatar
I love this movie! The ride fills me with apprehension - I definitely need a ride buddy for this attraction, or I chicken out!
Oh good someone else has seen it too!

I honestly didn't think I would love this considering my history with Splash (drops) and Haunted Mansion (scary stuff) but for whatever reason I just LOVE IT!

Just grab the person next to you, even if it's a stranger, that's what always seems to happen to me!
I've never eaten at any of these places, but I think for my solo HS day I would like to try Sci-Fi Dine In myself.
Sci-Fi is just so much fun! If you can get time to try it you really should. As long as you don't go in expecting fine dining you should enjoy it! But you can't beat the theme.
Awwww, I know it's a bit tired, but I love this attraction because it reminds me of one of the few movies that DH and I both enjoyed together.
Maybe I would have liked it more if I liked the movie...at all!
Lol, I actually deserted my daughter in the gift shop so that I could go and ride it one more time on my own. I wasn't brave enough last time to try the Gringott's ride, but I don't plan on going back to Universal for the foreseeable future anyways. Not as much good atmosphere, and I'm not a huge fan of CityWalk.

I agree with you, US and IOA just didn't have that something extra in terms of atmosphere for me. Plus I'm not a HP fan (I'm sorry dont kill me!

) and I think that is US and IOA's big appeal right now. Maybe when they build the King Kong land thing that I might go back...maybe...
Why would I wreck my natural flourescence? It might be the thing that makes me more visible in the dark for my family to find me at night.

You see I don't glow in the dark nor am I tanned so I'm sort of a dull grey which isn't cute
I wasn't a fan of Miami either, but maybe I was too jet lagged the one time that I was there.
I have only been for a short time but I really liked it. But DM isn't that keen, and doesn't like Vegas either so I'm not sure we are related!
That's exciting, I look forward to hearing how much you enjoy this trip!
I am very excited too! I love Italy, they have some many designers and shoes and shiny sparkly things....oh and DF is going to be there too. Guess that's exciting too...
I have never been energetic enough yet for rope drop, and have been too tired or cold to stay for The Kiss Goodnight. I'm hoping perhaps on my next trip.
Mornings are just too darn early for me. I think I will plan for one day to sleep all day then get up for the Kiss Goodnight, stay up the rest of the night then hit rope drop...then go back to bed! Sound like a plan?
Totally - Dis podcasts are wonderful to listen to at night, ha ha.
I haven't listened to the pod-casts before I must check them out.
Um, GORGEOUS! Congratulations!!!
Well....
I am currently stuck on where to eat with DH on Magic Kingdom day as well. Hmmm, I'll need to do some research I guess.
They do need some more food choices at MK in my opinion. I do usually just end up eating popcorn and ice cream
Sorry to hear that. We had a sheltie that also passed away from cancer; it's sad but I'm sure Mr. T. had a great life being part of your family.
Aw sorry to hear about your sheltie, DM had a sheltie as her first dog when she was a child and loves them. They do get into your heart don't they?
Ice cream - daily requirement, for sure!
